BIG NEWS! Leader of German Watchtower History Archives Resignes and Leaves Branch Office!

johannes wrobel, the founder of the watchtower history archives in germany, responsible for the stand firm-video and the stand-firm-exhibitions resigned in november 2008 and left the german branch office.

he was also the responsible person for many of the wt sponsored websites on jw in the 'third reich'!.

there are no further details known yet but this could be big news!.

I seem to remember that holocaust victims were obtaining restitution pensions and restoration of property. I remember reading the the WT was searching for and aiding JW victims to obtain these benefits. It would be revealing to find out whether the WT was taking a cut of these benefits, like lawyers fees and encouraging victims to show appreciation to Jehovah by donating a portion or more to the Watchtower.

I did a google with key words: holocaust victims compensation Jehovah's Witnesses etc. and numerous references showed up. Here are two links:

russell claiming his books were more important than the bible.

rutherford boasting that armageddon coming in 1925 was as certain as the flood of noah and virtually "indisputable.".

Why is it written that a shepherd should leave the ninety-nine sheep and go find the one that is lost? Isn't that kind of risky?

My thoughts are that the lost one has the key that brings to light the failure of the shepherd in his duties. A good shepherd does not lose one sheep otherwise he is a failure, and the life of that sheep will be required from him.

i mean, i don't doubt that jws were persecuted in ww2 but no one can compete with the jews when it comes to this.

did it seem to you like a case of "no one gets more persecution than us jehovah's witnesses, and that includes you, jewish people"?

My last conscious thought was looking down at that little hospital gurney and saying to myself: "You are certainly going to sleep well tonight." In my eyes, that little, uncomfortable gurney seemed like a king-sized, quilted bed.

This thought you had could have programmed you to experience no consciousness, not even a dream. It also could have programmed you to wake up because you said you would sleep and from sleep one wakes up.

To remember dreams one is instructed to keep a note book by your bed, and before sleep tell yourself you want to remember your dreams. You did the opposite, you told yourself to go to sleep, and sleep well.

Some Literature on death and dying says that one must be aware of all thoughts as you approach dying. Only then would that thought remain in memory after you are DOA.

I have had an Out of Body experience, it could have been a Near Death experience, I wasn't measuring or labeling the event.

" for more than a year now.

For me, Witchtower is a little loaded, in English Witch has the idea that she is a old crone woman riding a broom stick.

My suggestion is, just change the spelling for English translation.

Call it Whichtower?

Now it has a double meaning. The original, ie Witchtower and a second meaning, a question, which is the true Watchtower exposing dangers and invaders.

A former poster on JWD needs some help

in an effort to keep things confidential for a friend, but to provide him with assistance if possible from those who can help, i post this thread.

here is the body of the email that i received today - a follow up from his mention of the same in a phone conversation this weekend.

The email from your friend seems to indicate that the dreams are nightmares, that is, terrifying.

I too, after close to forty years out of the WT, still have dreams of association with them. However they are not terrifying.

I have a grown son who lives with us, (never a JW), who is diagnosed with schizophrenia which is kept under control with the medication, olanzapine (Zyprexa) and enables him to lead a close to normal life. However he frequently has terrible nightmares. He sleeps at the other end of the house, and wakes my wife and I up with terrible screams of terror quite often. I have learned to jump up and run and turn on the lights and get him to tell me his terror. One time he said a frightening tatooed hulk was standing in his door way. Another time, I went and found the room was empty, I still heard him hollering, and calling his name, asking, where are you? Where are you? He said outside. I said how did you get there? He said he jumped out the window. Luckly, it was open at the time.

I started to do some research on line. I looked up the side effects for olanzapine, sure enough one of the side effects is nightmares. We cut down his meds, which made a great improvement. They are much less frequent now.

Your friend may not be in such a similar state. He may be on some medications, drugs or seditives or even some allergic reactions to certain foods. If he is on any substance then he should do a Google with the name of the substance along with the words "side effects"

I write this, to try and cover all bases. I hope your friend can find an enabling counselor. I hope he keeps trying and not give up. Solutions are out there.

Expanding on wannaexits' coolaid.

It is usually spelt Kool-ade and refers to the monthly study Watchtower provided only for Watchtower studies and are only distributed to publishers.

It originates from the Jonestown massacre where kool-ade was laced with poison and the adepts drank it.

That Watchtower is called the Kool-ade edition that is the suicide edition where the GB can lay the heavies on the rank and file.
