I've gone since March of 2000 without. Believe me, if the future holds eternity without poon, I'll take the option of being dead.
Mike.
imagine when the earthly resurrection will begin, and maybe 20 billion people who lived in the past will have a second chance to live eternally, but this time without sex (luke 20:35).
having to live an eternal life without having the passion of love, and no sex whatsoever.
how would you cope with this?

the more i listen to the religion argument the more atheist i become.
their are still some things that are hard to explain and most simply doesnt need explaining who cares?
just because we dont know the explanation doesnt mean there isnt one!.
DFWnonJW that bed story made me laugh. How many "ghost" stories can be explained away by events like that? Then again, there's some that just can't be explained away.
Like I said before, I've never seen or experienced anything that I'd call paranormal. Closest thing I've had was this picture I took last year. I've posted about this before but I'll go into it again. I didn't even think anything about it until I was showing the pictures I took at an old cemetary and a friend of mine pointed it out. The blurs only appeared on this one picture. The camera lens wasn't smudged and I don't think it's from the sunlight. These graves are unique in Rose Hill, they're the only two with black iron coverings and there are no names. It doesn't look like the names faded over time, there just aren't any.
Mike.
my 90 year old jw mother told a friend of mine this yesterday: "marilyn said that not a day goes by that she doesn't regret leaving the truth.
" my friend called me to report it to me, because she knows better.. what i told mom is this: "i hope someday i will come to a time when i can forget i was ever a jw, and don't think about it every day.".
she got something different out of it than what i intended.. i don't care that she told this particular friend, but i would hate it if she is saying that to other people in her congregation.
Let it go.
best sex within marriage?.
women enjoy best sex within marriage .

I disagree.
The worst [sex] I ever had was good [sex].
But then again, I'm a guy.
Mike.
dantheman is a stupid f*cking loser who may be losing his job tomorrow due to a very f*cking stupid loser thing he did at work.. i am so disgusted with myself right now.
my image in the mirror makes me nauseous.. have you ever been fired from a job?
how did it affect your employment from that point forward?
Dan quit beating yourself up and share the story. We don't tolerate other members calling themselves losers here. Do it again and you'll be dealt with severely by everyone posting sickeningly sweet "Dan is great" material. I'm serious here! It's one of those rules most of you don't know about.
Seriously though Dan. Don't let it get you down dude. Go in there with your head held high and if you're fired, don't burn the bridge behind you. That's very important, to maintain or at least salvage a good relationship with former employers. I tell you that from personal experience.
Hang in there buddy. Firing is not necessarily a bad thing. There may be a job out there literally waiting for you personally and you just don't know about it yet. It's happened to me before and if it happened to me let me tell you it can truly happen to anyone.
Mike.

When I was a teenager, a friend of the family took me aside in field service one day to talk to me about this one. Not long before, my folks had gone through my room and thrown out all the music they found unacceptable. Stuff like Metallica and Megadeth. This friend was talking to me about that. He said that my stepdad told him that one night he was awaken to find demons standing around him and he was unable to move and could barely breathe, and they were taunting him. So of course the heavy metal tapes brought them into the house.
It's funny considering that to this day I still listen to the same rockers, have watched The Exorcist, tried a Ouija board twice, seen a fortune teller, smoked pot, bought at yard sales, and I haven't encountered one single demon or have had what I would consider a paranormal experience. I even live in old houses converted to apartments. You'd think at least one would have some resident "demons" right?
Now to be honest, I've had plenty of recurring waking nightmares. I'm lying in bed and hear pounding at the door, a noise or voice in the apartment, a "suspicious" noise right outside, in a previous apartment there was a big window in the bedroom and [in the dream?] there was a figure standing outside the window, and in all of those dreams I'm unable to move even to grab the .45 under my pillow or the shotgun on my headboard.
Mike.
p.s. But is that demons or is it just my mind? A major fear of mine is losing everything, having it taken away. I live right across the street from the city's main Post Office, with trucks coming and going all hours of the night. I sleep with my windows open for fresh air (there's bars on the windows of course) and when it's quiet in the dead of night all the noise from the PO's loading dock are really loud. I also have neighbors in the same house who keep different hours. Add the insecurity and environment together and my life would truly be hell if I were still a dub.

i would love to hear your opinion about what happen to me this weekend with a guy i met.
i met a guy at internet last week.
i called him and we talked from 10 pm until 6 am from the next day.
First thing, y'all cut out the comedy, this is serious!
Ardilla, drop that guy like a bad habit. Chances are he's married and just looking to get laid. In any case, he used you for sex and that's it. Don't let it happen again. Find someone else.
Don't let that experience turn you off to meeting people online. You can make some good friends and even sometimes find romance. You just have to be more careful in the future. Take more time to get to know who you're talking to. Don't be afraid to come right out and ask questions either. The first time you meet in person, maybe even the first few times, meet in a public place with other people around. Limit that to just that public place, don't leave with him for a private place like his home or a hotel. There'll be time for that once you two know each other and you're comfortable.
Be careful next time ok?
Mike.
p.s. I've dated a girl I met on the internet before so don't let what happened turn you off to meeting people online. It can work if you do it right.
i have been very busy translating the dead sea scrolls and finding out how to explain to everyone what is the meaning of life, so i feel a need to take a break from my ponderous works to ask all of you a pregnant question, to wit, what is your favorite dish that is mainly comprised of hamburger, or contains hamburger as a major ingredient?
i do request that you only provide one, and only one selection.
(those who disobey this rule will be disfellowshipped and will not get a christmas present from me this year, even if i promised you one.
One word: Fuddruckers.
Mike.
i just recently moved to savannah and it is so awesome here.
i was wondering if there was any ex jw here that i could buddy up with and vent about our past.
I live a couple of hours east of you on I-16 in Macon. My email is open. If you're ever in Macon, so is my home.
Savannah's a beautiful city. I've only been there a couple of times. The last time was last year and I loved driving through the old streets with the big trees and moss hanging down, like driving through a tunnel. Tybee Island was cool, too. One thing I noticed was that directions to anywhere in Savannah invariably included Abercorn.

i recently subscribed to the wall street journal online.
i found an editorial written by a senior editor, who was a jw!!.
article 2 of 14 .
That whole debate about Stratton was just the dubs' persecution complex at work. They could have easily complied with the law and that compliance would not have been in conflict with God's their law.
Back in the 70's and early 80's cooler heads prevailed in our old congregation. Once there was a tornado and the accompanying request from authorities that everyone stay off the roads that night. Which meant the meeting that night was cancelled. My [step]dad and other elders told the congregation that the authorities didn't tell us that we couldn't hold any more meetings, they simply asked us for the sake of public safety to please not go to the meeting that night due to the tornado and in a case like that we obey the secular authorities.
Similarly, there was a small town in our congregation's territory. Butler, GA. Some of you may have heard of it or even been there (remember Turkburger?). Butler asked our congregation to please contact the police dept. and let them know when we'd be working door-to-door there. We all did and there were no problems. Not much response from the staunch Baptist residents, but no legal problems either. One hardline sister wouldn't notify police, which meant simply stopping by the police station and telling the friendly officer on duty you'd be knocking on doors. She was taken into custody after shaking her Bible at the officers who showed up to check out her door-to-door work. Fortunately, the police called the elders (yes, you read that correctly. This was small-town Georgia in the late 70's) and the matter was resolved with the sister being counseled to cooperate with the police in the future.
In Stratton, the dubs shook their Bibles at the authorities. They only had to obtain a [free, I believe] permit to go door-to-door. People these days are understandably uncomfortable with strangers knocking on their doors. The permits were a reassurance to the taxpaying and voting homeowners (foreign concept to many dubs) that the person at their door had checked out with the local law enforcement. If you lived in a city with such an ordinance would you open your door to someone without a permit? Is a robber or rapist going to go get such a permit, even if it is free? I don't know about you but if I didn't see a permit I'd have my shotgun in hand and the phone ready to dial 9-1-1.
What kind of witness did that Supreme Court case give to all of the householders in Stratton? Did the dubs even consider that? I kind of think they shot themselves in the foot with that one. I've got half a mind to write the GB and tell them as much, but we all know that no one can tell them they're wrong.
Back in that old congregation, one elder started a talk one time by saying "People are crazy!". Well he hit the nail on the head that time!
