JW's and FEMA Community Emergency Response Teams?

was talking to a current jw elder contact a while back and he mentioned to me that "the society" was wanting local elders (and i assume ms's) to take fema community emergency response team training.

we didn't talk about that subject long enough for me to get any more info and he really doesn't talk to me much now at all.. anybody still in who can give me some more info on this?.

since then, i've lost my own copy of it and can't find it online.

if anyone happened to save it (and i have no idea why you would, it was really bad), could you repost it?.

Firefight at Fort Stewart!

this past weekend i went down to fort stewart.

georgia state defense force had been asked to supply troops to assist in the training for national guard preparing to deploy to afghanistan.

our job was to play the role of afghans and taliban.. gsdf has our own barracks at fort stewart.

hey friends, yer old buddy pv2 bendrr checking in again.. attended an ftx this weekend.

field training exercise.

it was pretty cool.. we did 2 land navigation exercises, and i love doing land nav.

State Defense Force Duty All Weekend

i volunteered for a support mission at our last drill.

support 4th batallion at a large 4th of july event at a state park in their area.

a corporal and our command sergeant major also volunteered.. i was only up for 21 hours including travel time.. only on my feet for a little over 14 hours straight.

got home a little while ago from this weekend's drill and thought i'd stop by.. the drill was today, but most of us decided to camp out at the facility overnight since it is a long drive for a lot of them.

our 1sg lives in florida now, but drives up here to stay with his unit.
