I'm just now starting to date as again as well. The best advice I got was to not try so hard. You will meet someone when you least expect it. I did and she ended up asking me out. So far we are having a great time together.

Divorce can really mess you up. Believe me I know. It takes a while to get over the hurt and to get comfortable with yourself again. Sounds like you're ready. Just give it time and it will happen. Try joining a local gym or dance class. Get out and do activities. Bike riding, hiking, geocaching. This may help you meet people with the same interest as you.

35 years of a jw life i have come to the conclusion that this got to be the best sentence in the bible and reflects my thinking.

three words......only three words, in form of a question that could have saved me over 30 years of %$#% experiences with the wt.. think about the deepness of this sentence....

Exercise Check-In Log

after loubelle's exercise thread, i thought it would be a fun idea to keep a log here and check in with everyone.. i walked 30 minutes yesterday plus after walked to the police station and the witch store about 3 miles away from the y.. food: .

breakfast: 2 pieces of toast: one with pb and the other with honey, coffee.

lunch: hardboiled egg, ham, cheese stick.

Monday: 1 1/2 hour Karate Class

Tuesday: 20 minutes on eliptical at 180 strides/min - Then 11/2 hours of weight lifting.

Wednesday: 1 1/2 hours Karate Class

Thursday: Repeast Tuesday workout

Friday: Enjoy the evening

Saturday: Ride mountain bike or Harely

Sunday: Recover

J-Dubs and hypocrisy.

i went to reno for father's day week-end and stayed at the grand sierra resort (formerly know as reno hilton or the mgm grand many years ago) and i happen to decided to head downstairs to do a little bowling and lo and behold i saw all of these men and women walking back and forth in ill fitting suits and dresses and was wondering what was going on.

i decided to investigate and found out they were having a conventian at the hotel and casino.

i though it a bit hypocritical for them to have the convention at this place so i went over and asked a guy who looked as if he were an elder and asked him why out of all places they decided to have a convention at a casino.his answer was there was no ther space available for that particular week-end .i know this to be an all out lie.the convention center is down the street a few miles and i inquired about availability and was told that there was space but the group that originally requested ,decided to go elsewhere.. so my question is doesn't this sound a bit weird?you should have seen how miserable the teenagers were having to sit through hours of boredom.. by the way i'm not a witness,my wife was ,but decided not to go back after being disfellowshipped for the last 15 years..

I mentioned the samethng to my sister when she told me they were having their convention in my town at the National Gaurd Armory. Now if that isn't a conflict of interest I don't know what is. How can they say I can't work at a factory that makes military hardware but they can pay the National Guard to use they Armory.

Shunned again

my son called me yesterday, first time in probably 6 weeks, because he lost his car keys, the car is in my name, so i had to get another set from the dealership.

anyways, it doesn't really matter what he called about, it was just in 6 weeks he only calls because he needs something, not a peep before that (very hurtful).

a brother drove him to my office and it was quittin time so i went outside with him and gave him the keys, i was hurt and didn't say much to him.

If he is going to shun you then I wouldn't be letting him drive your car. If the car is in your name so he can save some money then it's time for him to step up a be a man and pay his own way. Maybe the great Jehober will help him out. I know you love him and would do anything for him no matter how he treats you, but maybe it's time for some tough love.
