Why do Jehovah's Witnesses churches have no windows?
by Kenneson insomeone asked columnist phillip milano of the jacksonville, florida times union this very question.
you will find remarks of several individuals and the reasons they offer, ranging from deterrence to vandalism, to saving on air conditioning bills, etc.
even j.r. brown gives his two-cents worth and replies to critic paul blizzard.. http://www.jacksonville.com/tu-online/stories/080106/enm_4104779.shtml

How many times does this have to be addressed on this forum?
It is economics … pure and simple.
More money for the GB to spend on making itself feel like “Kings” in this system of things.
Cut cost everywhere except where the GB lives. No windows on the KH’s built in the last few decades = faster construction, cheaper construction, breaks on insurance, no one looking out the windows during the boring talks.
SEND EXTRA $$$$$$$ to the “Christian Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses” that is saved on KH construction so that the GB and their servants can live in luxury. -

Why is the Victim Always Wrong?
by Warlock ini lurked here for about 6 or 7 months, before i started posting.. i have read experience after experience in which the victim of gossip, slander, abuse in the congregation is the one who is made to feel like they are the ones who need to apologize, when they are the ones that need the apology from the perpetrators of the injustice.. .
one theme that continues to repeat itself in the congregation is this: the victim is always wrong and the victimizer is always right.

How funny. As I was driving to work this morning, I was pondering this very thing. I was the recipient of SLANDER and was vilified because I brought it to light. Both the CO and DO made me into the bad person due to bring it to their attention that I was slandered and lied about by three other elders. They were the heroes and I was the bad person.
Reminds me of the scripture about good being bad and bad being good.

if an atheist does something good...
by DannyBloem in.
if an atheist leads good life with high moral standards, because he choice to do so and thinks for logic it is a good thing, does it not mean much more then when a theist does the same, because his gods tells him to do it?
what's your thoughs on this?

I am sure the CCJW (Christian Congreagation of Jehovah's Witnesses) would say, as they have in the past (as the WBTS, Watchtower Bible and Tract Society), even Satan does good things to mislead people.
Godless idiots!

Will they Eliminate the District Convention?
by kid-A inok, i am now guilty of feeding into the "big announcement" frenzy on the board!
another poster made an interesting suggestion that the "hypothetical" big announcement may be the elimination of the d.c.. i think this is a real possibility.
its been cut down to 3 days from an original 8 days over the years.

The Borg will eliminate the DC only if it does not provide lots of DOLLARS! That is the way a corporation conduct business.

Are you happier out of the org?
by dobbie inhi everyone i was just wondering if those of you that have left the org for whatever reason, have found your'e much happier than when you were in it?probably a daft question but i tried to talk to a friend about how i was feeling about a few things and why i don't go to meetings and she said would i really be any happier out than in?it just got me thinking about why i joined in the first place, because i was lonely and down, although i still am several years later it seems!have you found life better on the outside?did you feel a sense of freedom or was it really hard to adjust?when i try to explain what i find hard in the religion they can always say something back that then makes me think i was wrong in the first place and it is the truth after all - aagh!

Hi Dobbie,
You asked "Hi everyone i was just wondering if those of you that have left the org for whatever reason, have found your'e much happier than when you were in it?"
I am off all my anti-depressants since I got out of the “Godless Corporation of Jehovah’s Witnesses”(aka: Satanic Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses) and no longer feel like ending my life. Does that answer your question?

How would the Governing Body treat Jesus if he were on earth today?
by unbrainwashed in.
they would criticize him for "independent thinking" and eventually disfellowship him for apostasy for not going along with their religious system and doctrines, don't you think?.
oh wait...that's kind of like what the sanhedrin did to him 2,000 years ago..

He would be called a person that has "independent thinking". He would be dis-fellowshipped for being an apostate. The GB would be proud of themselves, and print an WT article on how great they were. The GB would once again, mislead millions of "followers of Men".

This photo (taken from a JW group on AOL) is quite typical of JW marriage matches. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure they are great people as far as JWs go. But, it made me think. How many people had to settle for "less than perfect" marriage mates because they were a Jehovah's Witness? From my vantage point, beautiful vivacious girls outnumbered handsome guys by 10:1 and probably much higher.
Ms. Whip, what are you trying to say? I saw two people simply in love and marrying each other.
Where do you get your statistics from? My job deals with statistical analysis, so I am very interested in your sources.
Are you trying to say the black girl married a white boy, or the white boy married a black girl? What exactly is your point? I have to wonder which way you feel. Which one is settling for something “less” than what they should? I feel from your post that you think the girl married someone she had to settle for “less than perfect.” Is that right? Who should she have married? A black person? A handsome white, or black, man? Should he have looked for someone better looking since there are so many “beautiful vivacious girls” available?
If someone marries another person they do not love ... it is their fault. People need to stop blaming someone else for their problems.
I see two beautiful people in love married to each other. Skin color does not matter, looks do not matter, and weight does not matter. If two people love each other … then I am happy for them.
May these two have a happy marriage (without someone else demeaning either of them). -

OK, what are the links to the sites that this elder visited. I need to know in order to judge if he is guilty of porn/ea or not.
