there's a lot of new ones here and they might not be familiar with the fact that not everyone is truthful or necessarily looking out for your best interests.....is there any thing a "newbie" or for that matter any of us should keep in mind while on the internet?

What is the bible for?

i was just wondering the other day about the bible, in a different manner than i usually would (inspired by god).. it is like if i were a atheist, or something........ so what is the bibile?.

is it a rule book, that we must follow?

a guide we reference to enrich our lives?

Or if you havent been df'd, and are still in, you may have some people treating you badly. so you come on here to help you cope through it. i am truly sorry for those of you in that situation.

Why do you feel sorry for me?

Nobody has treated m me badly, It is that I just now see the real 'light' and a better explanation for all the questions i have, for not to say that I finally found the answers for my doubts and questions. So, do not feel sorry for me or someone is in my position, we have our motives for still being there.

Feel sorry for those people, who do not have nothing to eat, nowhere to leave and for those JW who suffer material damages needs and they do not have somebody who give them something, even they belong to a billion dollar publishing corporation that claims to remember what a true Christian is.

i thought of a question i'd like to ask my sister-in-law (who's a fanatical dub).

i'd like to say to her: "...if it could be proven to you beyond any doubt that this was not the "one true religion", would you still go to the kingdom hall?...

i figure it's a catch-22 that really ought to make them stop and think.

Can someone please show me a scripture that mentions the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society as necessary between God & man?
Where are they mentioned in a Bible?

LOL! That was good LOL.

It supposes the very first thing everyone asks, sadly they brainwash everyone, to the point that we believe that Jehovah talk to them, and dictated everything is in the literature (like the secretary and their boss). Now I found that so funny.

Anyway Holly, when I talk with my friend about everything you said, I react like you. Always, said that they are a good people, that they are right and etc., but when I really study, and search without any religion or thinking in any religion, everything have another view, you saw everything clear and you ask your self, how I didn?t see this before.

Of course they are right in a lot of thing, remember who wrote the articles are people like you and me, and definitely they have a lot of question. If you have not read the book Crisis of Conscience, please read it, you see how people from the governing body have doubts too. Anyway, sure they are right about some things, but they don?t want to accept when they are wrong or when they don?t have a clue about some subject and there?s when they fail.

So kept looking, do what the bible said: ?Acts 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily , whether those things were so...?
