Met my first Elder after diassociation

well i met my first witness (and it would have to be an elder who i always got on well with) last night after my disassociation 3 weeks ago and i was not prepared for how hard it felt.

i had the most human reaction of recognising someone i knew and had to stop myself saying hi.

he just rushed past me.

my mother in law one day comes to my house under my own roof and don't speak, she calls for her daughter and don't speak but just ask for her daugter, one time she came to the house looking for her phony ass jw daughter which she was not home, I tried to tell her and she ignored me like she was Jehovah Himself. She fortunate she only my mother in law i would tell her, to kiss my ass.I disassociated myself also just to get away from my jw mother in law so she will not speak to me and come over my house with her tired truth. lol

i voluntarily dissasociated myself about 5 1/2 years ago.

i did not know anything about the things on the internet i just had a feeling that something was not right and i needed to exercise my right to be free and make free decisions.

how happy i was that a year after i dissasociated myself i got on the internet and found a wealth of information and a heck of alot of encouragement.. anyway my question is to those who have been out and free before the days of the internet.

Newbie in the house

i have been lurking for a few months now.

the only reason that i have not posted until now is because of the paranoia that comes with being raised a jw.

my current status in the congregation is irregular, reaching out for the office of inactive.

Hi stealth, I too was a Jehovah witness and a ms and my journey
started with 607 bce date also as well as other hang ups.Your
smart not to allow Freinds and family know what your studying.
keep a low profile and stay cool, It will be hard at first
knowing that what you had was the truth isn't the truth.My
wife still goes with my young kids but Da'd myself because my mother in law was too zealous over my house so had too dis miss her by
da'd. AND IM HAPPY TO KNOW I DON'T SIT AND LISTEN TO THE SAME OLD STORY OUT OF GUILT. we are here for you.

the following is taken directly from the closing of the speech given by dr. maring luther king, jr. 38 eight years ago on august 28, 1963, "i have a dream".

in a future post, i will injected some respectfully intended comments after his thoughts because of the irony of his references and how they relate to ex-jws.. 30 and Out?

30 that seems to put jw's at a cross-roads?

i've known so many who have decided to abandon ship at either the age of 30 or either after 30 years of being baptized.

i fall into the former category.

My father commited suicide two years from tommorrow,before he died
I left the borg he told me it was good to see me smile again. Anyway he had this book one day at a time in al-anon.this was the last thing
he read to himself.ON AUGUST 6
This is a day which God has given into my hands.If I could only realize what a tremendous gift this is, I would use every moment of it to make my life more serene,more rewarding. I would not look back over my shoulder at the disappointments of the past-I would not anxiously contemplate the future. I would live- just for today-
as well as I can. I would put aside critical thoughts of others. I
would notice interesting things- the expressions on people's faces, a plant growing on my windowsill, the grace and charm of a child, an arrangement of clouds.Today there are wonders all around me,if I will open my eyes and enjoy them.
Today's reminder Let me not be so preoccupied with thoughts of my
grievances and troubles that today's good escape me.Today I can begin a new way of using my minutes and hours, a new way of looking at my surroundings and the circumstances of my life. I will make this day one I can look back upon with pleasure and satisfaction and a preparation for the days to come. "Today is all the time I have. Nobody can keep me from using it well. The next day my dad august 7 took his own life but the day before he

Randy,thanks for that post.The saying goes a picture says a thousand
words and is seen from different perspectives.so is a poem or a letter
like the one you posted, help me to maintain a balance in a certain degree in my personal life.Yes I am an angry ex-Jehovah witness but
must learn to move on.people will always live a life within there own world like I once did whether right or wrong because from my jw standpoint in life I was innocent,happy and content with what I knew to be the truth in my personal life until I learn differently for self, since there is no absolute truth. now,I must learn my new world of understanding now and let the old world go where I once stood innocent,happy and content.I will always be true to self and too no one else in my world of thoughts, if people disagree with those thoughts its okay, if people agree with those thoughts its okay but its my life to live in my perspective world of things until I learn differently. once again thanks for the encouraging post randy from a mind, you help free into a different world.

Making THEM Face FACTS

i am going to make a short, simple fact sheet to leave in places where jehovah's witnesses tend to leave magazines or frequent (hmmm, maybe a few in the door of the kingdom hall?

) i would like to tell the general public things about the witnesses and at the same time tell the witnesses who read it a few things that they don't know or understand either and help them to see themselves as others see them.

i am thinking about four or five topics with a few sentences and maybe a watch tower quote for each for shock effect to the witnesses.
