Okay, most people consider Dinah to be a rape victim. But I have some questions about this. Genesis 34:2 says Shecom ?defiled? Dinah. But goes on to say at Genesis 34:14-15 that Dinah?s brothers say to Shecom and his father ?And they say unto them, we cannot do this thing, to give our sister to one that is uncircumcised; for that were a reproach unto us: But in this will we consent unto you: If ye will be as we be, that every male of you be circumcised.? --Yes, I'm using the King James version. I can see how the word ?defiled? gives the impression of rape, but I?m thinking that because Shecom was uncircumcised and not a Hebrew that even if he didn?t force himself upon her it would have been looked at as a violation. So I?m not convinced Dinah was raped. I'm not looking to start any fights here! I want to know what other people think on this matter. Let's all be calm...think of waterfalls and beaches...before replying. Okay, input?

I know he's got a house where every room adjusts to his body tempature or some unneeded bs like that and there's a rumor that he has a secret underground tunnel from his house to the microsoft headquarters and I also heard that he has a jetpack......

Wild Turkey or Jim Beam?
by under74 ini think i'm partial to wild turkey but i do like jim beam (black label).
i used to like jack daniels but they've lowered the proof so i refuse to buy it now.
one of my friends is convinced they both taste like piss...i don't quite understand that...i mean they both do what they're supposed and they don't taste bad to me....any preferences out there?

Didn't know so many people had problems with Wild Turkey...never had a problem with it myself. Codeblue-Glad I could be of assistance. Naw, you're not bad...just finding little pleasures. I'm serious about the flask--you could get a small one that fits right in your pocket. Nobody would ever know. You could even get it engraved "codeblue."

God went away in a huff
by Bubbamar inin my mom's defensive monologue about shunning me she said that after adam ate of the fruit god never spoke to adam again after that.
before that they talked daily and had a warm relationship.
i say that's quite a manipulation of the account.

yeah, I got grounded for a month and a half when I was 9 years old after I pointed out that King David did a lot of stuff worse than my grandma (DFd for smoking). Sorry for your situation Bubbamar.

GOT QUESTIONS THAT NEED ANSEWRS PART 1
by tresbella ini have some questions so whoever can; please ansewr them:
1. i read an interesting article on line that said that the jw belief that god's name was taken out of the bible is a myth b/c if that was to be the case then every single manuscript that was translated and distributed during bible times had to of been litterally seized in order so that the name could be taken out.
the article was quoted as saying "imagaine that..every manuscript all the thousands that were floating around were hand seized in order for this to be accomplished" it also brought out the point that why would the almighty god be able to keep the bible protected all these hundreds of thousands of years without a single person being able to make it nonexsistent and yet not be able to keep people from tampering with its words?

"What JW teaching even to this day do you admit is 'the truth.? For example: sex before marriage, homosexuality, divorce, 1914 (ha ha) etc?" I don't think that theJW teachings you mention here are unique (besides 1914). Many other religions preach the same things. The 10 commandments is Hebrew law. I would say with or without religion it's human nature or the striving for it that makes people not want to hurt each other, make and follow rules, and so on. What's unique about JWs are the extra rules and rigid environment. I read so much about a loving God but when God is used to tear families apart, then what?
