THE VERY NEAR FUTURE. They can keep saying that for another 1,000 years and will still be supported by the gullible.

Yoga Anyone?
by dobby ini just read with interest an article entitled yoga - just an exercise or something more?
in the august 1, 2002 watchtower.. i know that growing up a witness i had always been told that yoga was related to spiritism and the occult.
however, with the popularity of yoga among the mainstream in recent years as a means to keep fit not as a means to find spiritual enlightment, i thought the society may have lightened up a bit.

The WT claims that Yoga is a meditation technique whereby one "empties the mind, and of course that's when the demons can get in." Sheer nonsense. Yoga helps one to STILL the mind and calm the body. Yoga does not teach people to EMPTY the mind or put the body into a trance. So they slander a meditation technique that works because they don't want any of their puppets to derive any benefit from sources other than the WT. That might cause some of them to THINK. They slander hypnotism in a similar way.

How many WT books are written by Apostates?
by Adonai438 inas i read all the stories of people that have made it out of the wt and all the books on personal experiences in the wt there is one thing that i have been wondering about and would find quite interesting:.
how many of the wts very own books-- the very words of jehovah they claim-- are/were written by now apostates?.
for instance we know that the esteemed aid to bible understanding was written by ray franz.

Brings to mind an earlier apostate, Solomon, and the stuff he wrote that's still considered "inspired."

I LOVED MY WIFE ...... (1)
by Bhagavad inbut now she's gone ...... from breast cancer a couple of years ago.
we prayed and prayed to jehovah in jesus' name: the "ask anything in my name" jesus.
we asked jehovah, not to cure her miraculously, because that's what people pray for in tent revival meetings.

But now she's gone ...... from breast cancer a couple of years ago. We prayed and prayed to Jehovah in Jesus' name: the "Ask anything in my name" Jesus. We asked Jehovah, not to cure her miraculously, because that's what people pray for in Tent Revival Meetings. We were better than that. WE were JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES!!! We Stooooood Up In Fearrrrlessnessssssss ...... We asked to simply help us find a treatment that would at least help her to have a few more years. HELLO, HELLO, HELLO ...... guess that number was no longer in service.
So I started to deduce that "Ask anything in my name" was a fraudulent statement, and that Jehovah, while he might be the "Hearer of prayer," just hears and hears and hears and does nothing. Strange observation to make about One who supposedly is in charge of everything, all the way down to atomic, subatomic, and who-knows-what-else kinds of particles.
I'm happy now that I made the observation in an earlier post about how maybe Jesus got all his stuff from Buddha, and maybe never was really THE Son of God but just another insightful but imperfect MAN, like Paramahansa Yogananda, Gandhi, etc etc etc et etc etc etc etc ....................
I just found a photo of her I did not know I had. It shows her with a big radiant face a few months before the end. She, as I, did not yet suspect that our prayers were not going to be acted upon. I now have a candle in front of it near some India paraphernalia I got at the Self-Realization Shrine. I just have my Aim-A-Flame at the ready, but have not yet lit the candle to commit a False Religious Act. But doing so will allay some grief, just as has my simply setting up the photo. She would be really angry at me for doing that. The congregation would throw me out into the street. But I do feel that now I'm experiencing more of a loving-kindness attitude in myself toward others than I had while a JW. That's telling me some things I had not imagined before.

In order to not be like the bad ones myself, I'd like to mention that thru the years I was happified by the personal kindness and thoughtfulness of Art Garcia, Don Campbell, and Ron Coldiron. Also a few special elders in the congregations that were not into being lofty.
I got a kick out of one named Timothy Brooks, in his fifties, who was from North Carolina, had a great pompadour, was very tall, and had a booming voice with a North Carolina accent. When he was talking from the platform he was very captivating, and he not only sounded like and talked with a Billy Graham accent and preaching style he even LOOKED like him.
I enjoyed his talks because he seemed more like Billy Graham than JW's, who I guess I was already tiring out from. My wife, a powerful little lady in her own right, was always overpowered by his presence and felt exhausted after his talks.

Re: Konjavich is a class A jerk:
That was one of the things that helped drive me away. It's more important to the Society that a man be very good at organizational arse-worship and -kissing rather than excel in spiritual qualities. That's why they use so many abusive, sarcastic, unkind, belittling types in positions of responsibility.
