So, I told mom what I think about the Watch Tower, et al...
by Reverend Warhawk ini called her today to know how she's doing and all that...we were chatting about different things, and she mentions that she was in the circuit assembly today...and then it went like this.... "have you gone to any of the meetings since you moved to texas?
"i don't think so, mother.
no, i won't", i replied..

Honestly, as soon as I run into an old JW acquaintance, be it in real life or on the web, as soon as the topic comes up I tell them: 'excuse me but, I am not setting foot on another KH, even for a wedding or a funeral. Feel free to not talk to me anymore..."
Of course, if it happens to be in person, they would have to be pretty thick to not know I don't go to meetings or have anything to do with the bOrg.
Life's too short waste time with people who do not accept you for who you are.
Edited to add: I also think that it's nearly impossible to get people that are in it hardcore, out. So why waste your time. Now if I know someone who's doubting, I would probably trhow some information in their direction and see if they bite...

I wanted to tell you also, that you should start getting ready to receive phone calls from 'concerned' ppl, if your mom tells anybody what you told her. That is part of this whole deal too.

Your dying, you are given one last wish, and that is ....
by free2beme inmy mother in law was diagnosed with breast cancer in october.
had the surgery and they found it metastized to the lungs.
she is doing chemotherapy now, but the cancer is spread pretty wide and thus an organization called making memories has given her a one last wish grant of $6000.

By the way, couple of days ago I decided to tell a mutual friend of ours exactly the reasons why I left, and why I'm never going back... She has decided she cannot talk to me anymore. Oh well, whatever.

Well, that took some cojones my friend. I'm glad you felt sure enough of all that you know to finally tell her... Do not be surprised if every time you guys talk, brings the topic up. But it's part of the programming, they can't help it. Just do whatever you can ti keep the peace with her.

by caliber inhere are my personal definitions for each (feel free to destroy these definition if you feel so inclined ).
a. a roaring brave, loud, no retreat, frontal attach , "going down in a blaze of glory " shot by the hunters who found you because of your loud roar all throughout the jungle !
you hope bravery will inspire your brothers.. b. a squawking chicken cautious, timid about danger but those ungodly squawks alert all the other chickens & the farmer who then shoots the would be danger, a fox.
