  How Do YOU Handle Busybodies?

  we all know elders believe they have the god given right to ask any question they want, especially if they are "investigating" a matter that could be "judicial" in nature.

  but not only elders are known to ask personal questions.

  i've seen elder's wives ask inappropriate questions simply because they were "elder's wives".

  When I was an MS, we met at a complex with three different KHs where 3 congos met at the same time. I had my eye on this gilr from one of the other congos, and we would talk for a bit on the courtyard after every meeting. An elders wife from my study group, and who was 'close' with my mom, came to me after one of the meetings and said "I'm watching you", in her eyes, that girl I would talk to wasn't 'spiritual enough' for me (oh the irony).. I had already guessed what this was all about so i replied:

  me: "you don't need to be watching me.."

  bitch: "i saw you talking to that girl..."

  me: "last time I checked I was an adult, plus you are not my mother, not even my mother gets in my businness... so stop watching.."

  bitch: "you're not supposed to talk to the flock like that!"

  me: "and you're not supposed to get into the shepherds' businness"

  She got offended, turned around, walked away and didn't speak to me for about a month.

  Nowadays i just tell people to fuckoff and mind their own disasters...

  Who will win? The network, of course. And we will all lose. Just what America needs is another manufactured star who is being conditioned to perform on cue during the whole American Idol season like a circus bear.

  since i am working on an essay about "gods kingdom or the kingdom of heaven" i would appreciate how people describe or define this expression,apart from the watchtower definition.. is it only another metaphor for god's eternal universal reign?.

  do we have to see it in a pre-post- or amillenial setting?.

  is it only something in the mind and heart,or will it like, daniel2:44 says, one time be the only government over (or on) the earth.. if it started his activities after jesus death and ressurrection in the 1st century what has been the influence since then?.

  works piling up and i've got a ton of stuff to do - some of it might even be fun!

  i've been posting at jwd/n for more than eight years and i'm sure i'll keep on doing it but from time to time it's useful to take a few months out.

  clear your head, waste time in the garden instead of at a laptop, drink a little wine, dance with your daughter, laugh at the dog - you get the idea.
