What should I do with all my old JW books? ?? Stopped attending 2000
by Latte inme and hubby stopped attending around 2000, and for some strange reason i have stored all the books we were using at that time.
i am so tempted to light the barbeque ...and burn the lot...as it is soooo cccold here in the north west of england!

What sort of things are involved in a "bible study" for a 10/11 year old?
The same thing as for adults. A lot of information that 'sounds' real but it's not. Brainwashing and programming
What is the attraction for a 17 year old girl to start "studying" and going to meetings....am I missing something?
The only thing that comes to mind, she either has a friend who has been going to work on her with WT dribbel, or there's a boy she likes that cannot reciprocate because he is a JW and is not allowed to 'associate with worldly people'.
What are the first steps for telling your partner they are nuts for wanting anything to do with the JWs?
Ask if she's willing to let her children die in the case they are ever in need of a transfusion. Ask her if she's willing to lose her relationship with her family. All interaction with ANYBODY that's not a JW, will change eventually. It's inevitable. The WT Society will try to tak the place of her friends and family, thus making it harder to leave if she ever wants to.

No more getting up obscenly early on the weekends

Starting real relationships with my brothers, cousins and aunts
The fact that my wife has tood next to me through it all
Being less judgemental of the people around me
That my child (who's on the way) will not be subjected to a cult
That I'm finally free to be myself

those who leave thus put their everlasting life in jeopardy.

Exiting Jehovah's Witnesses usually just get started with an examination of JW dogma. From there, other churches are examined. The bible itself is examined. And many, in their efforts to be honest with themselves, come to the conclusion that there is no outstanding reason to believe or claim that Christianity is the one true faith. Others do not see god at all. (and to be fair, no one has seen god, or I promise you, the pictures would be everywhere.)
At a certain point, it all comes down to faith, which admittedly, is usually wrecked upon a JW exit. What is often misunderstood though is, like the Kingdom Hall, agnosticism and atheism are often stops on a spiritual journey, one that continues to forge ahead. It often isn't a final destination, although for some, it is.
It can be argued that to be agnostic and atheist in the lack of compelling evidence is the spiritually honest place to be! Why would anyone want to lie to themselves again, and simply take the word of a well meaning, sincere zealot, who, although insistent, is frequently in the same place evidence wise as a Jehovah's Witness?

What will I do with all my suits?
by JWinprotest ini just thought of something the other day as i was ironing some of my meeting shirts.
it kinda of sucks, all the money i have invested in suits, shirts and ties, that i solely use for meetings, (not required for work).
what the hell will i do with them when i leave the org once and for all?.

I kept some in case of work functions and such. Normally i come to work in tshirt, jeans and sneakers. I hardly ever dress up, but just in case.
When my fade was still happening, my mom was helping us move, and as we're packing up my clothes, she grabbed my tie rack and asked me 'when are you goin to wear them again?'. I replied: 'the next time someone gets married or someone dies...'
