Basically, the CO is now teaching, and it's gotta come out in a Watchtower article soon, that there is NO PARRALLISM between the destruction of Jerusalem and that of Christendom in Mt.24 ... which BTW there damned well never was but they are always too blind to see it.

we had a wonderful and most exemplary family in our congregation.
they are hard workers, hospitable, caring, generous, suffer with you through hardship, kind, compassionate, and as loyal to the organization as any family could be.

watchtower literature tells me over and over again, that as a parent, i have to make my children feel that they can "freely speak" about whatever is troubling them.
the question is, at what age i should make them stop feeling this way, and help them to see the need to shut up, sit down, and quit rocking the boat.
Do you say this sarcastically? I grew up through that 'era' of nonsense. I suffered too. But at least my dad didn't fill me full 'o Watchtower crap. He even talked me outa going to the slave's hotel (bethel).

- It's interesting to relate that the Circuit Overseer here is now giving a talk, parts of which are directly taken from that paper! Those lousy plagiarists... I wonder when they will use the rest of it and screw themselves royal! If they don't correct the rest, then all will discern the contradiction. If they do use it, then all will see the falsehood of their 100 year old dicta.
The second thing of note, some here are posting info. about the convention. I was getting my stomach set for 3 days of crap eating. Now that I KNOW what's coming down the pipe, it makes it that much harder.

That's the contradiction in a nutshell.
On the one hand, when they want to make him do something like getting assimilated by the Borg, "he's old enough", but when it comes to making the decision NOT to be Borged, well suddenly he's NOT old enough.
I bet this poor kid is confused. Hopefully, he will not have to suffer Borgdom for the rest of his life.

That's right. Dub kids grow up learning that hypocrisy is a way of life. Then as is the case with one family here, the daughter comes home pregnant. "Dad, I am gonna marry this guy..." Can you imagine how this elder flipped. Yet, those of us "in the know" just chuckled.
Can you imagine a dub kid actually learning to be objective and to think, for goodness sake, to actually think!
One day the 15 yr old sits with "elder" dad for the study.

That's right. Dub kids learn to "shut up" at the Kingdom Hall. They learn that the primary ingredient in JWhood is "shuttin up". So many kids "shuttin up" and then the parents wonder why their kids "leave the truth". (and I use that "T" word loosely)
Does the WTS believe that they can continue getting parents to make their kids "shut up", while at the same time generating the facad of loving families who want to encourage their kids to open up.

The question is, AT WHAT AGE I SHOULD MAKE THEM STOP feeling this way, and help them to see the need to shut up, sit down, and quit rocking the boat. 12? 13? maybe younger?
Yes, as parents, we are supposed to make a warm fuzzy environment for our kids, so that they will "open up" and speak what's on their little minds. Fact is, at some point this has gotta stop, so WHY START. If my kids are gonna be DUB kids, then they should "learn from infancy" how to keep their thoughts and questions to themselves. They should learn that if you "question", at some point you will end up on the outside looking in. At that point, Daddy won't even look you in the face, 'cause you will be a "doubter" and obviously lacking faith.
