UN involvement announced at Assembly?
by Simon ini heard from someone that the wts was going to or had already announced something about the un involvement at an assembly.
anyone else heard of this or is it a local thing ?.
i would guess they may have only done this because of the coverage in the uk national newspaper which they know they have to counter.

Hey everybody, the letter to the clerical members of society is almost done. And I have been hogging church addresses of the InfoSpace in preparation.

You are all missing the point.
JWs are not affected if you tell them their fly is down.
BUT.... if you stand on your chair and announce to the whole room that a JW's fly is down, then you get a reaction.
The Watchtower for November 15 which we will be placing in 11 days carrys the article on "How Do You Handle HYPOCRISY"
I am sending 250 letters from CCI (Community Conscious International) to every church in town. It discusses both the Watchtower article and the scandal. It also says that the local newspaper is falling down on the job by not printing this very important story.
Of course, you must do as I have done and try contacting the local paper.
I am sure it will be a hit.
It goes out Wednesday.
I will put a link on the board to my box so that anyone who wants to participate can do so.

How Reliable is the WT Observer?

i ask this question because i have read many disturbing things about the society in its early beginnings.

Because many of us want to leave it, but can't. It's destroying our life, but we can't. They won't let us leave. Unless we are prepared to sacrifice everything that means something to us. Unless we are willing to leave behind all our family who will shun us for the rest of our lives. Unless we are willing to be publicly slandered and be disposed of by everyone we grew up with, we can't.
But we want to. We want OUT. And exposing the Watchtower will cause her to fall, and then we will have our out.
And all the future people who would have been indoctrinated by this cult, they too will be free. Free to think, free to talk, free to live.

WTBTS & OSCE etc.
by Kent init would be hard for the wtbts to deny their open connections to osce and other political forums.. http://www.jw-georgia.org/eng/rights/00octoscehrwf.htm.
this link is from an official jw website, and i believe those interested in such connections should take a long and hard look at the russiand and other jw sites.
it seems they are more "open" as to admit, and not least - use - their un connections as a tool of the trade.. i have reasons to believe the wtbts will try to use as defence that "human right issues are non-political" - and as such say the un connection is really a non-issue.

Hey OLD hoppo. If it's all OKAK with you, all this suff.. then why doesn't the Watchtower publicise it in the Watchtower or Awake?
Why don't you call your friends in the Tower and have 'em write it on up, sure... and l;et the whole 6m congregation have a thorough knowledge of "the truth"....
If it's good for them, then all should know. Right?

Will the Beast turn on WTS?
by Pureheart inmany of you have said that the wts is babylon the great and feel that the prophecy in revelation will be fulfilled on the wts.
the book of revelation says that this babylon the great will go down into destruction because the wild beast will turn on her.
it also said that god will put that thought into the wild beast to carry out this action.. that is why in one day her plagues will come, death and mourning and famine, and she will be completely burned with fire, because jehovah god, who judged her, is strong.. if the wts is the babylon the great of the book of revelation then this will be its demise.

I believe that the governments will stick it to religion. Starting with the Church.
It may look like they would like to get rid of Muslims first, but did you ever consider this.
The FBI will uncover that the anthrax attacks in the US are not the work of Muslims, but rather the work of Christian Fundamentalists whose objective it is to USE the US military might to stamp out their oppsition?
If the US government finds this to be the case, what attitude will it be left with?
And once they do stmap out Christian fundys, where does it stop?
And lest we forget, Muslims are a piece of work. They need to be disposed of, right?
ANd so a brave new world is on the horizon, one free of religious interference with daily life, on where true freedom can reign, uninhibited by clerics who want to use the populace to feed thier own egos, and pocketbooks.

it seems that so much of what we now are is, well... unethical.
and through it all, it seems that we are not unliked as before.. at least since, we are no longer unlinked.. we could say that we are now undone, since there will be no more unworkable situations ahead for us.. ah, but as the rank and file find out that the cronies in brooklyn are unrepentant, they may soon see the thought behind the quote below.. *** w70 10/1 582 .
