JW's and Chronic Fatigue Syndrone!

chronic fatigue syndrone, m e, yuppie flu.

i dont know if anyone else has noticed the alarming number of jws who claim to suffer from chronic fatigue syndrone,i mean hear in cornwall there tend to be several sufferers in every congregation,outside the jws out of the many people i know i dont know anyone,although there are obviosly many outside the jws who suffer this illness,percentage wise it seems that jws have a much,much larger occorance of the illness.. for example my brother in law has not worked and been living on invalidity benefits for more than 10 years since his mid twenties,his brother is also in the same boat, an m.e sufferer.. i wonder if anyone has looked into this a bit more?

I remember when "B", (a sis with CF,FM,whoknowshwatelse) was sitting in the third row from the back. The circuit overmeister went on hard about field service.

Well, "B" fell out of her chair into the aisle. The elders scurried for the wheelchair, scooped her from the floor and issued her out.

A few days later, at a wedding, she was dancing with every guy there. She had more energy than anyone else. Probably all that rest.

But there is a very high rate of cronic fatigue, and firbal myalgia(supposedly)

It makes me think of a person who had bought some Nortel stock when it was about $80 CND. As it started to fall from $142/share, you tell them "Hey... look at the news... you had better sell!"

But they break out in a cold sweat and quiver uncontrollably.

You tell them, "Hey, sell... it $95/shr... get out while you can" and they practically go blind.

You say, "LOOK, it's at $80... beak even and get out" but they rip their clothes and cover their eyes.... can't believe it.

Then it's at $65 and you say "Take your loss and run" but they call you names.

Then it hit's $8.00 p/shr and you say "what the hell's the matter with you?"

That's about what I have come to believe. I have big hopes. But hey, we are all getting older. I'd like it to happen while I am still young.(young at heart anyway)

It's unfortunate. But here we are with it.

Another thing,.. I managed to tell my wife a few things here and there. One day, she says to me "I don't want to wake up one day and find out that we were in a cult..." and went on to lament that she would not want to find out too late that her child could have had a birthday party.

I thought the time was right, that her mind was beginning to open. I gave a little more info about a few things. But gently. Cause she can turn you know.

But alas, the Watchtower mind control kicked in again. I think I have to get her in mid cycle. Seems the hormones help the process.

I wanted to pass along this personal experience.

The other day, my wife called me on the phone while I was at work. Keep in mind that she's unfortunately a blind JWfollowwhatevertheysay type. She was all worked up. She could hardly talk, and finally managed to get it out of her mouth, what was on her mind.

Apparently, a fellow sister whom she hardly knows, called her on the phone and began this little presentation for selling some product. Rather unfortunately for my wife, she sounded kind of cold and disconnected. It was one of those form presentations where you just change the name etc.. "Hello MR/MRS [fill in the blank].. I am [fill in the blank], from.." You get the picture.

In any case, as my wife tells me, she "thought this 'sister' was about to tell me some apostate news". My wife said her heart was pounding in her chest, she was gasping for air, and shaking like a leaf. She had to call me right away...

Well, as it turns out, this 'sis' was selling tupperware or something, and my wife misread the conversation. The point is, look at what happened. What does it tell you about what it's like to be a dub, and be face to face with "it".

And in this case, "it" wasn't even "it"... if you know what I mean. Just the prospect of facing some truth was incomprehensible for her. Her nerves were shot. Living the Watchtower way has put her on the pharmacy steps waiting for her next batch of mommy's little helpers.

This taken into consideration, what is going to happen when one day, she and so many others have to face the music? They delude themselves, believeing that they all are just gonna slide on in to the "new world"... won't have to see any of that "ugly truth". Just as easy as pie.

I remember when the first CCI mailer went out. It hit hard here and there was alot of tears. NO rebuttals concerning it's content. Just tears and wailing.

It reminds me of the Pharasees. They could say nothing to refute the "truth" (real stuff) that out Lord brought upon them. All they could do is rip their clothes.

I hope I can handle her when the shit hits the fan.

How to Get the US Press to Notice?

Letter to the editor? Sure, I'll just offer myself up on the altar for sacrifice.

What, do you not think that others have considered this? DUH!!

As far as people being interested, as a dub, I can tell you that they are. For instance, when a small article was printed on the 7th page of our locla newspaper, concerning dubs, we dubs felt the heat. At work, it was the talk of the plant. I had to sneak around till it blew over.

Guys were raging, SWEARING their heads off. It was all the talk in the shop.

People are tired of being looked down upon by dubs, who self-righteously march through their neighborhoods every week, reminding all by their (our) prescence in their hood, of everybody else's inferiority.

When a chance for a 'get-even' comes, they nab it.

Many times, when I was in close proximity to people who didn't know I was a dub, people talk about us.

You think we go un-noticed? You are not dubs.

As far as your 'letter to the editor' goes, you won't do a damn thing! You all sit on your ass and wait for somebody else to do it. You sit there and complain, but you are unwilling to do fart!
