  To whom did we write?? Why, to EVERYONE. We wrote that letter to every address in Stratton OH. Every home. Every person. Everyone.

  We also had a bunch of useless drivel spouted in our hall.

  The GB is desperately trying to get the number down. According to Watchtower prophecy, it's supposed to be dropping. SO, "do what it takes to make it drop" must have been the theme of one of recent GB meetings.

  Take a look at the number of publishers. They want to get this to rise at any cost. So, they make a new rule that "elderly publishers" can count even 15 minutes and so remain an "active publisher".

  Now that's desperate. The "death throes of an old dragon".

  WTS supports The Guardian

  the april 22 issue of awake!

  contains no less than 5 quotations from the guardian newspaper of the uk.. you may recall that the guardian's religious affairs editor wrote some very revealing articles about the wts and its ngo status in the un.

  remember how the wts pr department issued a statement defending their position and how they corresponded with stephen bates and reminded us all that the wts views the guardian as a serious, factual and reliable newspaper that it quotes regularly?

  If nobody else does, then I have communicated with Stephen on several occasions, as well Hawkaw has also mnay times.

  The last time I got an email from hime, he said that the WTS is getting "a well deserved rest" from his exposure.

  ...technically accurate but misleading...

  Definition: "technically accurate" means accurate from the Bible's perspective "but misleading" because it sounds almost like the Watchtower teaching which is NOT "technically accurate...but misleading.

  I and a good friend have been actively discussing the possibility of a lawsuit against the WTBTS, a lawsuit for Treachery. Simple definition = "betrayal of trust".

  As a member of this "society" (piety society), I feel that I have been betrayed and ill-informed ;aka-lied to. I would have made many different decisions if the WTBTS had not lied to me. Different life decisions, different financial decisions.

  We are going to be speaking to a few lawyers about this angle.

  I would have to establish deciet. That, NOW, should not be any problem. The court woud HAVE to hear religious dsicussions, like it or not. Yet recent decisions handed down by the courts might make this possible.

  We will have to bone up a few bucks and see.

  my husband is and has been inactive for many years but still feels that even though there are many things wrong with the org.. that they are the true religion.. ok, so what was my reaction when my husband came out of our room and asked: .
