i know a lot of you here were former pioneers, servants and elders.
how did you go about stepping down?
did you just not say anything, did you write a letter or call one of the elders?.
How about this. Have your duties restricted and curtailed slowly. Use health reasons. Say "I ahve been to my doctor and his prognosis is that I need less stress in my life, MUSH less. You can be an elder or ms in name only. I know, this worked for me.
Then do less and less. They will talk to you about not being an example in meeting attendance. Field service is no problem, cause you can just fill in some numbers and presto! But duties you need to restrict.
They don't push any responsibility on me now. Try dropping a hint to the CO that your health isn't what it used to be. Say "they haven't isolated it yet, but it's really bothersome and painful", and they will start to back off.
Health. That's the way to go.
a large proportion of the ex jws i know and stay in contact with are pretty much down and out.. i stay in contact with 4 from my past.. out of the 4:.
3 of them are long term unemployed.. 3 of those have psychiatric problems.. 2 of them dont have a stable relationship.. only 1 of them is a reasonable financial success.. my perception of the ex dub world is one of destroyed lives and, too a large degree, hopelessness.i base this perception on those ex dubs i know.
course, they are all hard core apostates.
I am an xJW at heart... soon I will quit and I will b e an xJW in reality... does that count?
I have a very happy family life, wife & kids. when the BORG doesn't get in the way....
I am not depressed or on any meds.
I have no debt at all, have a nice home and two cars, and I have a good job... $110,000+yr. Of course I am bucking the BORG.
I have major issues with the WTS and conduct a gurilla war against the TOWER OF POWER. I am chiseling away successfully.
I don't beileve in flying saucers, except for the time I made my mom real angry when she was washing dishes about 20 years ago.
OH.. and I have lots and lots of computers, stamps, envelopes and literature which exposes the BORG TOWER and I am damned well using it.
I can't wait to hear the next disfellowshipping announcement. I will have to check my list to see whose neighborhood I hit last.LOL
im shure that most of you could have thought about this.. there is always some nagging feeling that you have that says:.
im i gonna die at armagaddon?.
its just human nature i guess.. how do you put that silly nagging feeling out of your mind?.
I used to get that feeling. Now, after studying the Bible with open eyes, and seeing what a bunch of liars the WTS is... well...
And compound that with finding out how many other lies they have told, and the ones that they are telling right now, like in connection with the United Nations scandal....
I don't have that nagging doubt anymore.
i know this was very wrong to do , but who out there stretched their field service time by any means possible?
example, letter writing, driving by the same house , when you knew no one was home.
let's be honest here, confess and get it off your chest.... lol
I still do!
I put on my FS slip whatever comes to mind. Whatever is needed to keep the elders off my back.
I show my face at the groups from time to time. I don't knock on doors, and I don't press the doorbell. If someone is with me, I make out like I pressed it.

Okay. I called the radio station and they said that they removed their LISTEN link from their website. Sorry. I tried to speak to the program director but he was unavailable.
But call the 1-800 number and you can listen while you wait.
Lynn said that in the next half hour she was going to talk more about the ajwrb website and the FACTS.
I wonder how that elder who called is feeling, now that LYNN put him down by telling him about that good 'ol apostacy.

I can't see a place to listen. Maybe I am missing it.
Anyway, it's heating up. An elder just phoned, and he supported Watchtower policy... like we didn't know that.
Anyway, Lynn laid it on him about the fact that there's an organization against the WTS policy. He was flabbergasted. He said "tell me it ain't so" LOL
She is going on and on about www.ajwrb.org. CKLW staff is "very surprised... had no idea" Man, all my fellow dubs are out in field service today and they are listening to it on the radio. I can't wait till my wife gets home and tells me all about it.
