Another "stellar" example of a Christian who has gone away.
So sad, so bad that the "other sheep" are encroaching on his private territory with God.
It makes me SICK.

i just received this news from a bro who has connections in bethel.... .
bro albert d schroeder died at 10:30 am new york time today at brooklyn bethel...he was 94 yrs old.. he was born on april 7, 1911 in saginaw, michigan and entered bethel service in 1932. he was appointed a member of the governing body on december 18, 1974. bro schroeder's life story appeared in the march 1, '88 wt pages 10-17: entitled: "my life in jehovah's spirit-directed organization.".
i don't know if the "today" means it was actually today...as i can't be sure when my friend received this news... but anyway, another of the old guys bites the dust.. .

through various contacts, i heard this was said by a good bethelite at a local hall dedication.
(i won't quote what was said... i don't want to give away my source.).
plans are being made to attend the deliverance convention in july.
Actually, per the Book Study for this week, we need a "King of the North" yet too.So, within the next 4 months, "just maybe" there will be time for:
-- The revealing of a new King of the North
-- an attack by the "miliatrized elements" of the UN on Christendom
-- followed by an attack on the rest of organized religion
-- An attack on "the only religion left in the world", JWs
-- followed by Armageddon
Gonna be a busy few months! Maybe I should sign up for that African safari while I still have time...
I agree with you Sir82.

i'm fed up of winter, and dirty yucky snow, and my car is full of sh*t salt.. so, today i washed it by hand.
it's red and shinny
I, too, enjoy all of the seasons. We had a very bad December and a mild January and a so-so Feb. So far March as been o.k. and it's supposed to warm up near 50 this week. Bad thing is the heating bill!!!
On my dining room table in front of the window, I have amaryllis, hyacinths, mini rose bush, and primrose. So I have a touch of Spring going on in the house. Can't wait to get outside in the flower gardens. Mainly have perennials.
Summer can get rather hot in Wisconsin. I don't like the humidity.

i don't know where the elders learned this one.
maybe it was local - i don't know.
but.... these were shepherding calls to build you up spiritually so therefore no serving of coffee or cookies were allowed.. was this true with your congregation's shepherding visits?.
Dang! When I was serving as an Elder I would visit each member 2 or 3x's a year. I would make an invitation saying that it would be nice for us to meet and have only words of encouragement over a cup of coffee and cookies.I would never bring up negative aspects. My goal was to only talk about positive aspects of the individuals.
They would even ask to visit them more often.
What a concidence.
In what area do you live? That sounds like the way the arrangement should be. Our cong.'s po was terribly conservative and a real old fart. He was the one to call the shots and the others clicked their heels and fell in line. So therefore - no treats. Also, they would let you know where you could improve and if you had any questions. Of course, we didn't cause we didn't want it to drag out any longer or have them raise their brows and start giving us "the look" and the possibility of being called to the "war room".
Thanks to all of you for your comments.

I know what you're saying, Our family had 2 visits in 21 years. But at the last visit, which I think was in the mid to early 80's - no coffee or cookies were to be brought out because it would take away from the reason that they were there. NOT SOCIAL CALL , BUT SPIRITUAL.

if you could go any place in the world and not worry about money, food, clothing, etc... where would you go?
ITALY, SPAIN, AUSTRALIA AND NOT SPECIFICALLY IN THAT ORDER.
TAKE MY HUSBAND WITH.
GARY, YOU DON'T HAVE TO STAY HOME. TAKE YOUR WIFE.
this is tathra wharf looking back over tathra township.
my 40 acres is in the hills to the right.. 130 years old and possibly the only one remaining on the entire australian coast.
it's my favorite fishing place.
Crocky - that's a lot of beasts unclebruce!! Must be a beautiful sight - the black cockatoo. And the eagles. Sounds beautiful. We always wanted to visit Australia, but don't have the funds.
Have to settle for the zoo. They have a koala and bring in eucalyptus from California I believe. Used to rehab wild animals and birds at a Center for 5 years. Very interesting work. One of the first things I did when I left the org. Met so many nice "worldlings" hee hee We had such good times, but then I had to get down to business and got a job in floral design - which I love to do.
Really enjoyed your pics and your further postings. Thanks a lot!
Have a good weekend.
Juni :)
