  Scientists Find Water on Saturn Moon

  the cassini spacecraft has found evidence of liquid water spewing from geysers on one of saturn's icy moons, raising the tantalizing possibility that the celestial object harbors life.

  the surprising discovery excited some scientists, who say the saturn moon, enceladus, should be added to the short list of places within the solar system most likely to have extraterrestrial life.. recent high-resolution images snapped by the orbiting cassini confirmed the eruption of icy jets and giant water vapor plumes from geysers resembling frozen old faithfuls at enceladus' south pole.. "we have the smoking gun" that proves the existence of water, said carolyn porco, a cassini imaging scientist from the space science institute in boulder, colo.. if enceladus does harbor life, it probably consists of microbes or other primitive organisms capable of living in extreme conditions, scientists say.. the findings were published in friday's issue of the journal science.. david morrison, a senior scientist at nasa's astrobiology institute, cautioned against rushing to judgment about whether the tiny moon could support life.

  scientists generally agree habitats need several ingredients for life to emerge, including water, a stable heat source and the right chemical recipe.. "it's certainly interesting, but i don't see how much more you can say beyond that," morrison said.. scientists believe mars and jupiter's icy moons might have or once had conditions hospitable to life.. saturn is around 800 million miles from earth.

  i just received this news from a bro who has connections in bethel.... .

  bro albert d schroeder died at 10:30 am new york time today at brooklyn bethel...he was 94 yrs old.. he was born on april 7, 1911 in saginaw, michigan and entered bethel service in 1932. he was appointed a member of the governing body on december 18, 1974. bro schroeder's life story appeared in the march 1, '88 wt pages 10-17: entitled: "my life in jehovah's spirit-directed organization.".

  i don't know if the "today" means it was actually today...as i can't be sure when my friend received this news... but anyway, another of the old guys bites the dust.. .

  Schroeder has been wheelchair bound for quite a long time and was constantly attended to by one or two bethelites. Until recently I would see him in front of the Tower's building with a Wt pinned to his shirt getting his 15 minutes of service in. He has been totally incoherrent for a long time and I am sure had no concept of his surroundings. About 6 months ago when it was a beautiful day in Brooklyn Heights I saw him being pushed around in his wheelchair. I tried to engage him in a conversation and was unable to get him to even look up at me.

  OTHERS WHO ARE NOT OF THIS ELITE GROUP SUFFER THE SAME END. BUT, OF COURSE, THEY ARE OF THE NO GOOD EARTHLY CLASS.

  THIS WITNESSING DOWN TO THE END IS PROBABLY PRAISED UP AND DOWN AND USED AS A FINE EXAMPLE OF FAITHFULNESS.

  TO ME HE'S BEING USED IN HIS INCOHERENT STATE AS "THE POSTER BOY" FOR THE REST. HOW SICK!!

  "MAY" have inflicted some trouble on others? He was a part of the elite group to dictate the orders that has hurt SO many and others are so afraid to leave and others so fooled that they keep up w/the rules in order to have God's blessing.

  A college/university education is alright for him and his son? If he were of the "anointed" wouldn't he have dropped out and accepted Rutherford's order?? Guess he must've known that Rutherford was a namby-pamby and wouldn't mind.

  And they have the gall to push this "no higher education" crap to this day. But they certainly are looking for educated and trained people to do their work.

  Actually, per the Book Study for this week, we need a "King of the North" yet too.

  So, within the next 4 months, "just maybe" there will be time for:

  -- The revealing of a new King of the North

  -- an attack by the "miliatrized elements" of the UN on Christendom

  -- followed by an attack on the rest of organized religion

  -- An attack on "the only religion left in the world", JWs

  -- followed by Armageddon

  Gonna be a busy few months! Maybe I should sign up for that African safari while I still have time...
