  That book was a real eye opener for me. And yet, Ray Franz is not full of hatred or wants to retaliate. He recognizes that there are a lot of good people, but the organization is the culprit.

  i got this message from a forum member.. i think you may be confusing the wts' understanding of the "sheep" of matthew chapter 25 (who have not yet been separated from the "goats") and the "other sheep" of john chapter 10. the two groups are not (i.e.

  no longer) considered synonymous.. .

  what am i missing?

  Actually the semantics used to bug the hell out of me even when I was in the org. What does it matter? Just nitpicky "theocratic" terms that set JWs apart from everyone else. We "talk" the pure language and youuuuuuu don't..........

  Today is my anniversary

  i've been married to the same man for 21 years today .

  god knows we've had our ups and downs, but we've been together for 24 years and married 21 of those 24 years!!!!

  Congratulations on your 21st anniversary.

  Of course there are ups and downs in every marriage. But you remain friends and love one another. I'd say you each know what the other's love need is and fulfill it. We all need that to be filled up so we remain "in love" and not just room mates.

  dear friends,.

  much of what we do on a daily basis is routine and of no particular, earth-shaking importance.

  however, after reviewing letters of family going back to wwii, it is fascinating to read what dad was doing on board the aircraft carrier in the pacific on any old day, what mom was cooking on her ever-steaming range, how i was dealing with the roller coaster of emotion at bethel [mom saved all my letters], how nana wrote that she would not study with the witnesses [per my request] but 'here are some mittens i knitted for you when you canvass new york with your magazines.

  Hi guys/gals!! I missed Helncon's b/day. I don't remember seeing a thread......

  Happy Belated Birthday Helen!!

  Today I take one doggie to the groomers and then I'm visiting my one granddaughter who is 4. So we will play board games and UNO card game and who knows what else.

  It's hot and humid also BB here in Wisconsin. Perhaps we will get some rain today which we sorely need. Sounds like you had a good report from the Dr. yesterday. Just have to be patient w/that left eye. Sometimes it takes awhile. Ugh! Dentists. I have to go in and have 3 teeth pulled for a bridge. I don't fear the dentist; just the bill!!

  Make up: Love it or loathe it?

  i have just gotten around to taking off last nights trowelling and what a relief that is!

  i rarely wear make up - maybe once a month, so i probably go over board.

  i feel like my skin just suffocated for 24 hrs.. what do you love or loathe about make up?

  Cool Brinjen! It's always nice to find what works for you.

  Deeskis, I'm going to go to the youngblood.com site and take a look. Now I want to get me some of the mineral foundation. And since two of you recommended liquid Dove/Ivory I'll try that.

  Another good product for a gentle wash for your face is Cetaphil cleansing bar.

  my son's father is a JW

  my ex-husband is a jw and he has stuck this religon so far in our son's head that he takes are son to meeting and i was okay with him taking him for awhile but, know it's gone to far and he has gottan re-married and his new wife doesn't like me because i'm not in the box with them.

  they are wanting to take my son from me because i'm a signal mother.

  sorry my spelling is bad but if anyone could help me in this matter that would be great.... i don't want to get to personal.

  I can appreciate all that you're saying CoolerKing! I didn't "vacation" (in the 1970s that's what it was called. Then temporary pioneering and then auxilliary pioneering) pioneer until later as I was having babies! LOL I had no trouble getting the white slip to fill out, but I know that games were played.

  Like someone else here said, it worked out for the best because you started questioning things. I wish I would've woke up long before I did.

  i am sure most of you are now aware of the missing british girl madeleine mccann, who was abducted from portugal a few weeks ago.

  the media is making a massive thing about this, and i am just wondering why.

  they say 70,000 kids go missing each year in the uk alone - but this case seems to be unique in that it is so widely reported.

  Interesting point needproof. I agree. The wealthy do get the coverage. And yes it is sad as it's a child missing - wasn't her fault she had idiots for parents who left her alone...

  I've seen this before though. Parents leave their kids home asleep and use baby monitors to listen while they are at the corner bar (pub).

  Too many idiots have children.

  Anyone know where to find a site for newspaper frontpage for date of birth?

  well, one of the ladies in my office is turning 60 this week and we are having a surprise party for her and am putting together a wall of all kinds of pictures, trivia, fashion, facts, etc., from 1947. i found once a newspaper archive where you could put in your date of birth and get the front page for that day in a picture or .pdf file format.

  i thought that was cool....and it was free.

  i know i used to the site bookmarked.
