ARE YOU PRO-UNION OR ANTI-UNION?
by Mary inwould you rather work in a unionized or non-unionized environment?
the place where i work recently voted 'no', we don't want a union in here (after being harassed by a very large union for the last 5 years).
there were some who voted 'yes', but the majority of us voted 'no' and those that were pro-union are quite pissed off that the rest of us 'fail to see the light'.

hey Mary..
I've worked nonunion and union jobs. Depends... advantages and disadvantages with both. My last employer was extemely fair and generous w/employees so I was glad to have the union out of the picture. Other employers are a holes .. even then it depends on the union's policies. Got shafted at one job even though there was a union.

Grinding too Hard
by Sparkplug inso at night i grind too hard.
i have busted all the surfaces off my teeth and now my crown and my other teeth have fractured and several are worn very thin and most have cracks that if i don't fix, they are going to be exposing a nerve soon.
i have a night guard and i am now going to pay more attention to it, but seeing my insurance does not really pay much of any of the recunstruction due to the grinding of my teeth.

Okay ... I know that dental insurance sucks.. better than nothing, but barely.
You have one of those dental implants that go into the jaw and then they screw the tooth on the post? Damn, those things ARE expensive. I wish I could help you more. I know that can be a serious problem and very painful.. teeth grinding and TMJ.
Hugs, Juni

Hi Decki!
God that's horrible. Do you have any dental colleges by you? I'm pretty sure they'll do work for a lot less.

I sometimes wish I was still In.
by faundy ini have read things on here that have made me think.
i know it's the general idea.
but the realisation of some of the issues and their legitimacy has made me wish that i was still a witness.

hi Faundy..
From my experience (21 years as a very active JW), asking "why" questions that had nothing to do w/doctrine would be a cause for others to consider you as "doubting" or in the least questionable "faithfulness". Such as, "why do we need 5 meetings a week?", or "why do we need to drive miles back to the hall to meet for afternoon field service when there is never anyone else there?" I remember one elder who told the group when we brought up legitimate questions... "Are we becoming a congregation of complainers?" You were supposed to fall in line w/o any questioning. Deep down I'm sure the majority felt, but would never vocalize it, that one could never do enough or be "good" enough. Meditating on how things really are w/questioning helps one realize that they will never be heard w/o prejudice.
