600 bottles of water on the wall
by bronzefist inwhile renovating a house i found 600 2-liter bottles (empty soda or pop plastic bottles depending on where you are from) filled with water in the basement on shelves.
the former owner was a world war 2 marine who passed away.
there was no indication he was a survivalist such as canned goods stored there..

Hot Food at the DCs past...What was it like?
by bronzefist ini came in to the "loving" organization when they had the nasty cold food so i dont know how good the hot cooked food was.
my ex says it was pretty good, but should i have belived her?
i would think hot food made for a happier time at least for the eaters.. brzfst.

(((Decki)))
This brings back bad memories when my kids were going through the teenage years. It does "get" better, and one day in the future while you are enjoying an adult to adult relationship it will be something that you both will look back on and shake your heads.
Love, Juni

I agree with you Sylvia snowbird.
There was an actual brotherhood at that time ... one felt like they were part of a god directed mission, and serving the brothers and sisters was desirable and enjoyable. For those who were not there at the time you did miss out on some good times and feeling the "brotherly love". From what I've been hearing about present witness attitudes... the good times are only a memory.
Interesting thought JamesWoods.

It truly was a food "love fest" back in the "old days". As Blondie said, you could choose "fast food" or a full homecooked meal. That was breakfast, lunch and dinner. The programs used to run for five days and go into the evening hours thus the need for serving dinner.
I remember the tickets were in one dollar sheets broke down in 10 cent individual tickets. Fresh fruit bags were delicious. Shasta was the only soda pop. I believe the puddings and Danish were always an option too.
Home cooked meals were also served at the circuit assemblies for awhile. Actually because one of the brothers at the hall I attended had professional chef abilities our circuit enjoyed delicious meals for some time. The assembly hall in Janesville, WI (which by the way the WORLDLY Lloyd and Jane Petit family helped build little known fact I believe) had a beautiful, full service kitchen which eventually was closed down.

Adventures at the DC
by metaspy in[insert indiana jones music] i missed friday's session because i had to work.

i happen to run into a "brother" who happened to work with me on quickbuilds not too long ago.. he was df'd for a bit and reinstated this year.. my mom had talked to him on friday about my current situation (not attending meetings).. he said he wanted to talk to me to see how things were going (red flags in my head).. .

Was everyone really vegeterian pre-flood?
by blkblk13 inok it's late and im bored and this might ramble a bit but i got to thinking, the wbts always proposes that everyone, b/f god gave noah permission to eat meat, was vegeterian.
witnesses always talk about how in the new system we will all go back to being vegeterian since i think in isaiah it says the the lion or wolf will graze and eat grass like the lamb or something and it was never gods plan for us to eat meat.. this doesn't sound right to me.
why would god make animals begin to eat each other if it was not according to his plan?

I will have to research the book to see what arguments they use.
