  i dont post much at all any more but i had to mention this, i just got back from seeing religulous and cant remember the last time i laughed so hard.

  it was great!!!!!!

  close-minded religious people should save their money and not go see this movie but instead give your money to the next tv evangelist or street magician you see.

  Bought a new car!

  a while back i started a thread regarding the fact that i would have to buy a new car.

  well, the day finally came... had to put the old one to rest... it failed the emissions test and would cost nearly $2,000.

  $750 billion.

  thats about $2,000 for every us citizen.. what i don't understand is how come it is viewed as communism and interventionism to interfere with the market when the times are good, but as soon as it all goes sour, the us government immediately intervenes to bail the market out and mortgage future generations of hardworking us taxpayers?

  Hopefully it will help get things moving... every thing is at a standstill.

  Not a a hugely wise choice, but what is at stake is FAR worse yada. The US economy is on the edge of a precipice about ready to take down the world economy.

  I can appreciate how you feel, but if it gets things moving .. think of it as a shot of ExLax.

  The Fine Art of Saying "I'm Sorry".

  is it almost a lost art?

  could you say it while you were a jehovah's witness?

  i will tell you this: it took me many, many years of being out of the organization before i could learn how to say "i'm sorry" and truly mean it.

  Better late than never, hey Baba?

  Just saw your thread.

  I can say I've never had a hard time saying, "I'm sorry" or "I'm wrong; you're right". Actually I'm working on becoming more assertive because I allow people to "walk on me" as I tend to put others' needs first and mine second. I'm learning that I need to be more balanced, and lately I've had no problem telling certain ones to f*** off!

  I've learned through counseling that some people have very strong personalitites, but if THEY recognize that and are willing to "back off", it can be okay. Also, that to be able to say, "I'm sorry" is very important in loving relationships. Those who can't or refuse to are arrogant, immature assholes.
