July KM - warning against active apostates - summary
by dozy inthe question box in july deals with the internet - mainly concerned with children on myspace & similar sites -mentioning that your child could be talking to paedophiles , dfd ones or even "active apostates" .
the main article deals with the - "exciting" and "thrilling" news of the new wt arrangement (maybe some people should get out more).
nothing new in the article , which has as the sole justification the need no longer to explain "theocratic" terms like "pioneer" , but it does seem that the awake will be tailored more to non-christian people.

Danny posted this:
Loading the Language
Lifton explains the prolific use of "thought-terminating cliches," expressions or words that are designed to end the conversation or controversy. We are all familiar with the use of the cliches "capitalist" and "imperialist," as used by antiwar demonstrators in the 60's. Such cliches are easily memorized and readily expressed. They are called the "language of non-thought," since the discussion is terminated, not allowing further consideration.
This is EXACTLY what the WT society does with its members. Full of confusing terms that are not congruent----

Beautiful and very interesting pictures everyone!
Hey, Humper! Perhaps those spikes on the pole discourage "street walkers" from leaning on them?? Just a thought. Those are wicked! Really enjoy seeing South Korea. Hugs to one of our soldiers.
Hey Richie! Your little godson in that one pic looks like he's telling you he doesn't want to be woke up. I remember when the kids were tiny like that and if they didn't want to be awake there was NOTHING you could do to wake them and they'd make all these weird little faces and grunts and groans. Cute little guy! Don't you just love their baby smell? Minus the poo pants.........
I have a Kodak EZ Share camera. Easy to use and small. It takes EXCELLENT pics up close and scenery all for the low cost of - well I paid less than $200.00 US including taxes, but my daughter bought the same one for $40.00 less than I paid. This included the carrying case, recharger and batteries and the card.
I would highly recommend it for someone who doesn't want to spend a lot of money. Also I would say to buy an extra battery pack so you have fresh batteries handy for pic taking while away w/o an outlet to recharge.
