where else can you get so many varied opinions about a religion that i grew up in, would have died for, have family members that are members of, have questions about myself and find answers to some tough questions i have?

Would Jesus forgive Satan if he repented?
by DavidChristopher inasked the elder conducting my book study today...he didn't know.
how about a little help here old buddy.. if no...then why continue to "preach the good news" to convince them to repent?
that would be a waste of time.. if yes?....who would he not forgive?.

No he cant repent, not according to the dubs anyway. His "fate" has already been determined and recorded in the book of revelation and as all scripture is inspired by God, to change Satan's fate would make God a liar.
Plus there's also the apostate argument, If any of the anointed class drift into apostasy then that is said to grieve the spirit and is an unforgivable sin. If a spirit creature was do do the same then surely that is worse and so is unforgivable to.

I am hurt, my wife had a miscarriage and still my family didn't contact me
by jwfacts intwo weeks ago my wife had a miscarriage at 11 weeks.
it is very sad as it was to be my first child and my wife is already 39. what hurt the most though is that none of my immediate family contacted me.
i was d/f in january and did not expect to hear regularly from my parents and sister.

Hi,
Sorry to hear about your loss, i remember seeing the original post about how your wife was pregnant and thought it was good news for you in your present situation.
I don't know your families situation, what they're really like and I am not making apologies for them but i do know that men tend to get left out in situations like this. Its the mother who gets all the sympathy, everyone tends to forget that the dads are just as heartbroken too.
Here in the Uk there's been a bit of talk recently about this and about how fathers grieve too and about how we're forgotten, maybe things will start to change.

Need your opinion on JW teaching
by DevonMcBride innext week i'm going to speak with a large group of people about the jehovah's witnesses and one or two of their teachings.
i don't have time to discuss all of their bizarre beliefs so i'd like to ask your opinions on which subjects to use.
what would you consider to be the one most outrageous teachings of the watchtower you would chose?

Sorry to hear about the tough time you had being Df'd cog.
I think this site should have a "Disfellowshipped" section where the newly disfellowshiped could come, post, even if its just to say "hi" and find out that they are NOT going to be judged and shunned by the rest of us. I reckon it would do a lot of people a lot of good.

is there a human that will step up and take resposibility for explaining what jesus' opinion was when he called people these words?
can he explain the context he was using to us?.

Shunning, the policy of bad association, marking and disfellowshipping, how it has destroyed families and pushed some to take their own lives and how it keeps witnesses attending for fear of being shunned. An easy one to cover and very illustrative about how controlled witnesses can become.
There's probably not a person on this board that hasn't been effected by this at one point or another
