  i've got a little fuzz growing right now, and it got me to thinking about the wts inane animosity toward beards.

  abram, noah, and moses had beards... within a reasonable doubt.

  russell had a bea... holy crap, russell had a beard.. the war on whiskers went so far as to shave jesus for a time.. was this scrimmage against man face an attempt by rutherford and co to remove the influence of russell?

  In recent years in many lands a beard or long hair on a man attracts immediate notice and may, in the minds of the majority, classify such a person undesirably with extremists or as rebels against society

  Damn I wondered why my Bin Laden beard was frowned upon lol

  I was once told that in some country's if a man doesn't have facial hair he is regarded as being gay and so Brothers have to grow a tashe or beard in case anyone god forbid thinks they're gay

  I'd be very interested to hear any stories, as well as being told to grow up because they don't exist

  have i gone off the deep end with this one?

  a brief conversation tonight with my jw mother, who has been ill recently, triggered this.

  i called to see how she is and she warned me that she has sent me a note and hopes it won't hurt my feelings.

  You must be a right hard nosed B*stard To read that letter and see the pain that someones in and see how easy it would be to put it right but then to ignore it. What harm would it do and think of the good it could achieve.

  The org should tighten up its policy towards the baptism of minors, ban it and annul the baptism of everyone that was baptised under the age of 18 and preferably raise it to 33. After all Christ is the Example we follow not Timothy.

  What's The Difference Between A "Worldy Person" & JW???

  Coming from someone who was regarded as being "worldly" even though I wasn't I would say the difference between a worldly person and a dub is a personality. I wasn't a wet stepford type in a suit and tie, i was ME

  Side tracking a little, if ever i needed to see an Elder I always preferred to take my problems to an elder that had come out of the world, someone that had retained a few of those rough edges as opposed to a dub that had been grown in some cloning tank.

  Anyone else have a preference like that?

  i was just thinking about all the crap madzay makes for jws, and i think it would be very good to have some of those scripture greeting cards they have for writing to jws.

  just with different scriptures than they use now.. what do you think?

  could we get some madzay stuff that would help wake up jws?

  my deep down personal self-image is that i'm a jw.

  i was at my grandma's today in another city (she's catholic), and lo and behold, they knock at the door.

  I can relate to being at ease and at home with other fallen bro and sis. I met an ex brother last yr it was the first time I'd met someone like me and I instinctively felt at ease with him and felt that he was "my brother" Without really knowing him I put him up at mine when he missed his train home purely because he was a brother.

  However I spent a lifetime being judged and looked down at by brothers and sisters because I wasn't one of those stepford types. There is no way I'd feel comfortable around an active witness nowadays.
