  Banned from the Kingdom Hall?

  so i was just wonderin' if anyone has ever heard of someone getting banned from the kingdom hall.

  my dad who was a very looked up to elder before my parents divorce and allways a very devout jw recently got banned from the kh, this is the 1st time hearing of someone getting banned, see this elder was talkin to his new wife a little too much and he thought they were gettin a little too close and he told this dude to back off and he didnt so this elder had a talk one night and my dad stood up in the middle of the hall right as this dude got on stage and announced that he better stay away from his wife, he was asked to leave and he refused so they called the cops on him and the cops came right in and escorted him out.

  so anywho they wont let him come back, they didnt df him or reprove him or anything just banned his ass-way to go dad, probably the best thing that ever happened to him, too bad he allready wasted 2/3 of is life in that sh*t. so has anyone else ever heard of getting banned?-april

  My parents rejected my invitation - because of the tree

  yesterday was a special day for my family and me: we bought our first x-mas tree.

  the kids are very enthusiastic about it.

  and i was happy providing them with something i did not have as a kid.

  Man is the only animal that knows it is going to die and because of that knowledge man seeks answers which in turn creates organizations like the JW's that exploits that yearning in man by emphasizing the death that man knows is one day going to be his.

  Depressing? Hell yeah! ( But only if you let it happen )

  i hold in my hand a typical awake magazine (jan. 8, 2005) - entitled "can planet earth be.

  saved?".

  of course, it trots out the usual formula of half truths that has brought the watchtower.

  I mean just look at that title, ' Can Plane Earth Be Saved?' It immediately produces in the recipient a sense of ,"Gee, I don't know ! Can it ? Maybe if I look inside this magazine it will tell me HOW the planet will be saved? And , of course, although I'm not very well educated, I DO have a good heart and I so want this person in front of me to know I care ( and I won't seem too dumb to them ). Sure, give it to me."

  Be saved from whom, the extraordinarily negative inducing mindset of a group of men who's driving force in life is to plant seeds of doubt so they may harvest the fruit brought forth from those very seeds?
