  i need some skeptic input... dreams that come true

  listen to this: the other day my wife was talking in her sleep and she said "sister xyz died".

  i just thought, well she's dreaming.

  the next day one of my friends told me "sister xyz died yesterday".

  This is not skeptical, just my thought. Since a spirit keeps every human alive why is it difficult to believe that it may want to " talk " to us ?

  The Right To Judge Others

  yesterday our visiting elder-public speaker, cautioned against judging others.

  he made allowance though for elders to judge or analyze the non-elders in the congregation.

  i have always felt that distinctions based on position in the congregation are wrong.

  JW elders, thinking that they have ' right' to judge others, is one of the root problems of the Witnesses.

  However, in my opinion, it's one of the best ( ? ) strangleholds they have for controlling the thinking of the flock.

  What's Your Opinion of Putting Spy Cameras On City Streets?

  the new york post has an article on how the police commissioner plans on having spy cameras put in certain city streets that have high crime activity----not to monitor activity as it's happening but to review footage if a crime did occur in the area---after the fact.________what's your thought on this?

  An Observation About Life

  being consciously present in this moment of life's expression, being open and meeting with this present moment of reality, being truly with what is actually here without judgments and mental commentary, does not seem to leave much room for beliefs in deities and their shenanigans.

  in fact such imaginings only seem to steal away the vibrant aliveness of here.

  so, perhaps, it is when we are not that much present with the truth of life, right here, right now, and rather lost in mental interpretations that we feel a need to become involved in the drama of gods and religion.

  Where else will you find such true friends?

  it always bugged me when i would hear or read that the only true friends you would find would be those you made in the organisation - nobody else will really stand by you when you need them.

  it used to puzzle me when (prior to being disfellowshipped...) my true friends and my close loving family didn't make contact with me for years, right when i was very deeply depressed and i needed them.

  certainly i could have put myself in their lives more pro-actively, but, it's a very effective control tool to tell people not to bother befriending a non-witness; even if they don't damage you spiritually, they will never be as loyal to you as your brothers and sisters.
