Starting to write my Witness Story... anyone want to read Chapter one?
by AK - Jeff inmy storychapter one - first contact
the day was a hot one, july or august of 1959 i think.
the three of us were out popping tar-bubbles on the street next to our home.

I like it because it conveys the JW experience from a kids point of view. In my opinion it comes across as very real and I feel I want to know more, not only about what happened to you but more about the Witnesses.

Unitarian Jihad
by misspeaches inhttp://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/chronicle/archive/2005/04/08/ddg27bcflg1.dtl
it was sent to me at the chronicle via an anonymous spam remailer.
i have no idea whether other news organizations have received this communique, and, if so, why they have not chosen to print it.

Anti-Jehovah's Witness Arrested
by Kenneson inthe police have arrested a suspect in the arson fires of kingdom halls in georgia.
the suspect was first believed seeking revenge, but now they think the man has mental problems, since "voices" told him to do it... see "woodstock man arrested for arson" at.

This concerns an ' 03 Topic about ex-elders and should they apologize
by juni ina poster on this site was kind to direct me to an ' 03 topic for discussion that dealt with the question whether ex-elders who were on a jc should feel responsible for the hurt and damage to families that suffered df in their family and therefore seek these ones out and apologize.. some felt that these elders were only following what they felt was expected of them and others felt it was a good idea.. how do posters here who were former elders on jc feel about this now?
thank you to all for your input.

juni . . . My orginal reply to your post was hasty and harsh. There really isn't much one can do but to apologize and move on. People need forgiveness, for without it we are surely lost.
I hope you and your family's lives are better now as you move forward into brighter worlds.

atypical . . . I agree with you. " ...getting suckered in to do somebody's else's dirty work." That says it all.

juni . . . So, you have apologized and moved on. Is that it? Is it that easy for you? You come across as if " . . .sorry everyone, I screwed up but that's all behind us now and we can forget about all the distress and years of disaffection caused by me and the WTS. And, by the way, Have A Good Day ! "

Us vs Them
by mann377 ini was reading an editorial today from thomas sowell and was amazed by the observation that he made.
read this and tell me what you think.
i hope pasting works.

Yeah, it's Us vs. Them with JW's. That is, of course, one of their strengths if not their number one hold on people. Such a simplistic mind game that always seems to work.
