we have a bigg artikel in km abot our wuie on how to treat them in diffrent situations, not so much new things, but they confirm this harder treatment on dfd, as we have 1981.. not so happy for this, i think it is a bigg misstake to dont take this occasion to change to some more loving wuie.i can not follow why they do like this perhaps they are draw this to the end of the lione, but who are take the punnish for this, if not the averge jw, who i think dont like this so very much.. so i can not follow who they think, perhaps we have wolfs among us, who hurt ther members.. .

matty- are you certain it is the aug issue? how do you come about rec'ing it so early? I only ask as I may show up at the kh & cheerfully with huge grin boldly give a "HELLO!" to all in attendance, so was wondering the date they will be covering it- appreciated if you would possibly follow up with the date- thanks

the lower requirements of the wt has been brought up from time to time.

i thought i would summarize the ones i know of.

1. conventions used to be one week and go from early morning til late at night.

on the subject of assemblies- it was in a recent mag, jws are planning international conv in 2003- only 'chosen ones' are to be invited, a couple of brothers 'in good standing' from each kh- the gov body, of course, decided who these are

funny, 2 scriptures are repeatedly used for the jw practice of shunning, yet NUMEROUS wt quotes. how is it all the scriptures on god's love, mercy, kindness, ,jesus' sacrifice, etc. were forgotten? i supposed they don't apply here.

interesting how they s-t-r-e-t-c-h the 'not eating with a man' into not saying a hello because it may start a conversation or a friendship

matty- the questions are in the km now because the light is getting brighter.

considering the past beliefs of jws & the new & improved current beliefs, some changes i can recall are: the cross, smoking, what is actually 'porneia', the end --->1914, no wait... 1935... we mean 1975... well what we really meant was by y2k... by the time this generation passes away, yada, yada.... also blood issues, organ doning, who will & won''t be resurrected- what others can you all think of?.

my question is this: if jws are led by god's spirit & the org is the true channel god is using, why did the 'light' need to get brighter?

why was is it wrong in the first place?.

thanks moejojojo- i had left out holidays, b-days- also forgot about when they added the earthly class. yes, i remember the illustration of the ship also- somehow i don't feel god's truths needed so much re-adjusting.

termite- refining process, progressive understanding- it all adds up as you say to twisted reasoning

i was given the 'jehovah reveals information as we need it' answer. anyone have other responses when inquiring on why the light was so dull in the beginning, only to be revealed 'in jehovah's due time'?

Increase / Decrease - Whats the Real Picture?

ok, we're all used to seeing the annual report in the yearbook etc of the societies so called increases in certain countries and lands.

is there any way to independently authenticate the wt claims as true or not?.

take 'hours' submitted in field service reports etc.

No doubt there is much 'righteous fudging' going on- when I was 'in', I knew some who didn't want to be labeled 'inactive' who turned in something, anything for call backs/rv's & their family studies.

Of course, the tallying of hours spent in preaching keeps the rank & file marching in unison, feeling they are fulfilling the prophecy of Matt 24:14/28:19, 20. And the hours reported each yr MUST increase, hence the fudging.

I always wondered, why is the # of hours so important anyway? Yes, this promotes status in the cong, displays your spirituality for others to see & be envious of [wow- she must REALLY luv jah, she's a PIONEER!!!], but really- now they account for time to the 15 minute mark?! Who really cares how many hours they put in?
