Hey, likening blood trasnfusions to spiritual rape is progressive thinking for some JWs. I once got in a fight in a very different forum for defending the spiritual standing of people who got blood transfusions against their will. Most of the Dubs on that forum thought you were still damned even if it was forced upon you while you were unconcious.

by gumby ina few days ago there was a thread in which we were discussing the blood issue and jehovah's witnesses.
someone brought up pets and blood.
i was curious at that point if there was blood in our dogs food and were my wife to find out, i wondered how she would respond.. i did a little re-search on pet food and it's ingredience and here is a little what i found.. .........the protein used in pet food comes from a variety of sources.

In the December 22, 2004 Awake they found some poor marine biologist who agreed to be interviewed about seahorses a Dr.Keith Martin-Smith, presumably of Australia. Decent enough fluff article until the last paragraph. After a doom and gloom prediction from someone described only as a "researcher," they quote Dr. Martin-Smith saying "There is definately goodwill out there among people. Our job is to make more people care about the earth's living creatures. When that happens, change will occur. Perhaps if we can save the sea horses, we can also save the seas." Then Awake condescendingly adds, "Pehaps. Happily, though, there is a more reliable source of hope.-Revelation 14:7" So some unwitting scientists actually takes the time to do an interview with "Awake! Writer in Australia," probably for free, and what attitude does the writer take with him? "Yeah, yeah, yeah. Just tell us about sea horses, and we'll just discredit anything you say that we don't agree with."

Ted Jaracz will reveal himself to be the phantom menace behind e-Watchman and will disfellowship all Jehovah's Witnesses he can find to purge the earth of the Organization, except for two he cannot track down. These two, before they die, will train Jaracz's long lost son in the ways of Dubdom, and he will seek to turn his father away fom his apostasy. In a few years I will re-release it with new special effects, including a bunch of dinosaurs thrown into the background for no apparent reason, and this time, Judge Rutherford will shoot first so CT Russell doesn't seem like such a bad guy.
