Tennasee- Witness man preaching to Goth Satanist gets family killed!!
by Witness 007 inwatching the crime channell yesterday i saw a picture of a family that was murdered by teenage gothic satanists, i said to my self "they look like witnesses"...and they were!
one of the girls charged with murder said: "the man aproached me at the rest stop and asked me if i believed in god, he said he was a jehovah witness...." the four youth's are serving life in prison for shooting this man his wife and 2 kids.
the baby boy was shot in the eye but survived....they ran over the parents as they drove off in their van.

That article is sickening, the way the author dehumanizes the victims and tries to cull sympathy for the murderers. A fat middle finger for the "journalist" who wrote it!
EDIT: Make it TWO fat middle fingers.

I know that picture you're talking about. It's a wider angle of the same illustration in My Book of Bible Stories, but it appears in a different publication, possibly a brochure.
And to The Oracles point, that poor 7th clean animal. He had to watch the other clean animals getting nookie for a year, what did he get for all his patience at the end of it all? WHAMMO!!! And with no hope of resurrection, either.

What's the difference between humans and animals if there is no God
by JH inif there is no god, does this make us the most intelligent animal?.
-

The core of this thinking really de-values us as individuals.
If I am merely an animal, and am just a happenstance that came into being because of something called the evolutionary process, then:
I am not special, I am not created, I don't have a purpose, I am not intricately made, I am not unique, I hold NO value or worth, I am not an individual,
For me, the core of this thinking is empowering in the extreme.
If I am a sinful, infantile creation undeserving of happiness and life except by the grace of my absent creator ("Amazing grace...saved a wretch like me?" What an ugly song! I'm no wretch, are you?),
I am not my own person, I don't have free will, I am not responsible for my actions, good or bad.
It's like we're all irresponsible children waiting for a celestial parent to clean up our mess.
Instead, if we evolved, then I am a god! You're a god! Imagine it: we're the supreme beings on this planet, maybe even in the whole universe. We should all act as gods and goddesses. Then it's on us to treat ourselves, eachother, lower animals, and the environment with the respect and dignity the universe deserves. It's on us to be righteous and just for the sake of being righteous and just. How many people through their own weakness create disorder and chaos in the world with the hope or rationale that a god will forgive them when needed? In some respects an all-forgiving god that tosses out forgiveness like cheap cookies is as dangerous to the world as a vengeful god damning all infidels to death.
Atheism is beautiful.

Who Was The Weirdest Person In Your Congregation?
by Arthur ini guess this is kind of a fun topic.
who was the weirdest person in your congregation or kingdom hall?
without naming names, who was the person that was the most creepy, eccentric, or "out in left field"?

The brother of the PO was tremendously obese, like the Grimmace from McDonald's fame (the sweaty, grunty type). He also had an artificial leg, as he had lost his in a motorcycle accident. Anyway, he described how, when he got home from meeting, removed his leg from his torso and kept it inside his pants leg. I guess the idea was that the next day for service he could slip both on right away! He also urinated in the front lawn of a not-at-home going door to door. Somehow he managed to get a fiance, and, during his first dinner with her parents, discussed how many times a week they should have sex. Guees what? She called it off. And all these stories came from his own mouth.

How do you answer this question??
by LuciousJ inok, i'm now da'd as many of you already know.
it's so fresh that my stomach turns everytime the subject comes up about religion.
however, something that does puzzle me a bit.......is how do you answer people when they ask you the question "what religion are you?

I say I'm a skeptic, and let them figure out the atheist part. If they're offended, and they usually are, it's their own damn fault.

How many 'real" friends did you ever really have in ther "truth'
by The Lone Ranger insure we got to know a lot of people, we knew a lot more people then the average person, but how many real friends did we ever have?
a friend that we could trust, that we could confine in.
i can say i had just one, bro x and even then i still had to be careful, bro x is an elder now and he tells me that im the only real friend hes ever had, he cant freely talk to anyone.

None. I didn't even feel like Jehovah was the imaginary friend he should have been.

Were dinosaurs part of a pre-Adamic "paradise"?
by M.J. inthe wts seems to affirm a lot that adam's blunder really screwed up the earth, and that the earth was not meant to be this place full of killing, disease, death, pain, etc.. but according to the wts version of the story, did god create the earth with these types of features before adam even came on the scene?
the wts does not deny the existance of dinosaurs, who in their words were created prior to mankind during the 5th or 6th symbolic day-ages.
yet its clear from fossilized remains that dinosaurs killed each other, had a high mortality rate, often died young, suffered from disease such as cancerous tumors: .

Let's ask an expert in paleo-archeaology:
Ghetto Girl, were dinosaurs part of a pre-Adamic "paradise"?
"Hell muthaf****in' no!"
Well then, folks, there you have it.
