hey guys, thanks to all who responded. I think that some good comments were made, and maybe at least someone might think outside the box. Its amazing how brainwashed they are, by there comments. I would have answered just like them at one time.

I posted a question on yahoo answers, in regards to the book study arrangem
by PaNiCAtTaCk ini posted the question last night, to try to get some jw's take on the matter.
of course most of them are really showing how brainwashed they are, by quoting the letter almost word for word, gas prices rising etc.. i personally feel that its wonderful, as my parents are getting older and they've been doing 3 meetings a week since the early 1960's.
the way i posted the question, i kind of insinuated that i was a jw struggling with the loss of the meeting.

I will select an apostate answer as the best:) Just try to keep it in good taste, as alot of witnesses are now following this question. My Fiancé Can No Longer Talk to Me Because She is Becoming a JW
by reekster ini've been with someone for over ten years.
sounds like a long time to be engaged, but we were perfectly happy with the arrangement, knowing that some of the circumstances in each of our lives needed to be worked out before we could marry.
one day she told me that she wanted to investigate the jws.

You are part of the world and she cant get baptized while dating someone of the world, much less have any privledges. Anything you do at this point will only convince her that its the truth. She will view anything negative as an attack, further proving its the truth. "The sister told me this would happen", mentality. good luck

i always thought it was ironic how often they preached against this sort of thing from the platform, then were out in the parking lot trying to sell it to you.

I know a lot of witnesses in arkansas are getting involved with "colors on parade". (Mobile car painting.) There is always an Elder at the top recruiting the lowly poorer witnesses to do all the hard work part of it, with promises of owning there own franchise one day. The one guy I talked to was working around 55 hours a week and making 300 dollars a week!!! But, he had signed some stupid contract with an Elder that had him bound for a while longer. Another Witness had trained with the same Elder, but never actually bought in to it. Once you agree to train with them, you are not supposed to paint in the area of the person who trained you. But, he learned enough to paint cars on his own so he did, and the other Elder took him to the Elders. Another witness trained with the same elder and also never bought into the franchise and he moved to california for a short period and then moved back to arkansas and started painting in secret. Its all so stupid.

quotes from the movie, "Sicko" by Micheal Moorer. Sound familiar?
by PaNiCAtTaCk intony benn: keeping people hopeless and pessimistic - see i think there are two ways in which people are controlled - first of all frighten people and secondly demoralize them.

YOU SAY YOUR DESIRE TO SERVE GOD EVENTUALLY LED YOU TO JOIN THESE GUYS. YOU ARE ONLY 21 FOR GODS SAKE! HAHA YOU DIDNT EVEN GIVE YOURSELF TIME TO LOOK AROUND AND LEARN ABOUT ANY RELIGIONS. WHAT DID YOU DO, TAKE A CORRESPONDENCE COURSE? Im not trying to attack you, its just that this is weird:) Hey, if im persecuting you, it must be the TRUTH!

Hello everyone, first post.
by Frjprice inhello, i just wanted to introduce myself to everyone here - as i will be posting here.. i grew up a jw and pioneered, was a ministerial servant, ect, i was in the organization for 17 years.
i left and naturally my family did as they were told and cut off all communication with me.
this left a horrible taste in my mouth for not just jw's, but any religion for that matter.

Im still trying to figure out why you went from being a JW to your current belief system. If you left the witnesses, then you are no doubt a researcher. It doesnt take much research to uncover a mountain of problems with the catholic beliefs, and tainted history. It seems to me that the Catholic belief system and practices, are primarily geared to control ignorant people and keep them in line. No offense please! Maybe im wrong, so please correct me. My first thoughts are that your either gay looking for acceptance.(which is fine!) Or that you like the feeling of power over people, and you like the authority that the term priest brings with it, in the eyes of the flock. You are way to young to be a real, recognized priest in any catholic faith, and I know that I could never respect any 21 year kid counseling me on marriage, kids etc.. Im sure that im confused and misled so please help me understand and clear up any misunderstandings. Thank you.

lol, yeah thats him! I wonder how hes doing. I made a sheparding call with him on a sister in her 90's who was missing meeting because of illness. He read her a whole bunch of experiences to encourage her. Turns out the experiences were all from the 1975 year book. He said it was his favorite yearbook of all, because it was so encouraging. I asked him if he thought there were so many because of the 1975 ordeal and he said yes, and left it at that.
