I’ve noticed that some witnesses accept witnesses being of another race, but being racist towards non-witnesses of another race.... On several occasions.
So are you saying that some non-black witnesses have the attitude that the only good black person is a jw black person?
Just want to be clear.

is it ok for me to be part of your 'gang'?
you see i'm not a jw and never have been and a bit of of me feels like i'm gatecrashing.. i was raised in a strong roman catholic family - i was expected to believe everything the church taught without question and i did.
when i left school, i found myself working with an evangelical christian who, because she questioned my beliefs slowly made me look into them for myself - i truly hated her at the time for doing that and admit that i made her life a misery in revenge - but eventually i began to see that some of the stuff she was saying was right, we became very good friends and my real journey out of the rc church began.. i was too scared to leave straight away because of the doctrines i'd grown up with - no salvation outside the church and you can only really communicate with god through the priest (big issue here was how do i get my sins forgiven cos if i don't i'm gonna go to hell) - it was another 10 years before i finally plucked up the courage to leave and this was because of two things that happened:.
Your welcome and welcome to the board!

i'm unable to get online as much as i used to, but i try and get on sometimes during the day.. last week i posted regarding a situation with my mom.
this time i'm having issues with my brother.
i've posted about him before.
It just infuriates me that he can make these "digs" at me. I've done so much for him lately, and this is how he treats me. When no one else in the family helped him or talked to him, I gave him money, and this is how I get treated in return? How would you handle someone like that?
That's why he does it, because he knows it bugs you. When he makes these comments do you respond? If you do, stop. Dont even acknowledge what he says if you know he's doing it just to upset you. When you move if you have to encounter your brother be cordial and keep him at arm's length. If he asks what's wrong, say nothing or switch the topic to something else. I guess what I'm trying to say is youre letting him control you, you take back the control about how he is to treat you. Accept nothing less than respect.

firpo carr argues that while many white apostates claim to highlight so-called 'racist' remarks and terminology in the watchtower literature, most such apostates are in fact white and have little real interest in black issues.
they are only interested in the issue in so far as they can use it to promote white anti-witness propaganda, whereas a high percentage of loyal witnesses are black.
i know that all the terms of my topic are debatable: apostacy is a witness term of derogation; apostates probably are mostly liberal and not racist (essentially); and they are not a 'movement' in any case.
I am?!
