Any coloured people here?
by Hellrider innow that i got your attention, here`s a quote from the wt, february 1952:.
"really, our colored brothers have a great cause for rejoicing.
their race is meek and teachable, and from it comes a high percentage of the theocratic increase.

What color are you looking for? Yes it is kinda racist, kinda related to: " Boy those darkies such do smile alot, their teeth are really white, and wow what big lips they have!"Josie

Hubby and me watched a "Beauty and the Geek" marathon Sunday and now we're hooked!
I think Richard has a crush on Chuck.

Once, when I was 18, I wore a dress (Jessica McClintock) that was *gasp!* just above my knee to a district convention in Fresno, Ca! I was told I should be careful, I might get a stern talking to from the brothers. Nothing happened.
The last time I was in a kingdom hall I wore pants. Oooooo I was just waiting for someone to say something, anything. Darn, nothing was said to me. Guess I'm not worthy.

Being a JW mother, I really don't understand how these women do it.
by Dragonlady76 inwhile reading through some threads, i sometimes wonder what my life would have been like if i had stayed a jw and had kids.
i now have a 23 month old son, that's very active, i can not begin to imagine what torture it would be for both of us to attend meetings or go out in field service.
i would be expected to keep him still the whole time without toys, snacks, books or any sort of distraction at all, except maybe the my book of bible stories.

I need a leash for my almost 2 year old, he hits the ground running.
He knows how to open the front door and if he can get out he's off running down the street (he has done this a few times).
If we go out to like a park I have to keep him for the mostpart in his stroller or he's gone.
Yes I do let him out every once in a while, but the kid is fast.

My parents would let us write or draw even color in color books. If we got a little out of hand we could expect a pinch. If we continued we would be taken outside. That didnt happen often.
I have four kids ages 11 and under, the youngest is almost 2, and there is no way I would go to a religious service that didnt have childcare or some sort of youth ministry. I'm not about to put myself or my kids through the torture of sitting through a 2 hour service. No way in hell.
