What to you do when you are being shunned?
by aprostate ini used to be quiet around witnesses who were shunning me.
i changed my mind after my dad's funeral a couple of years ago.
i was their alone since i live in a different state; but, i guess everybody still knew who i was because of my mom.

Same thing happened to me at my dad's funeral, some shunned me, because they were afraid of what would happen to them if they did talk to me, even a family member came up to me and said, well I guess under these circumstances, I should give you a hug, I never said anything at first, but later when I had time to think it over, I felt like saying, well if you can't hug me because you love me, then just don't bother. I didn't even know that he knew I was DA, so someone in the family must have told him, yet another member of my family kindly gave me a hug and asked how I was. Figure that out how come some can and others can't, even some sister's from my ex-congregation hugged me and expressed their sympathy. Now when someone meets me on the street, I do not back down, I may not say anything, but I don't hang my head in shame, I give them straight eye contact, and more often than none, they back down first. It's hard enough at a funeral then having to go through stuff like that.

HEH KITTY CAT; As I was working today, the day to the great hockey game between States and Canada, It was just before I was about to leave, when the people in our store heard cheering from the Radio Shack store across the way, CANADA had won the game. People were standing around the store a hootin and a hollering. YEA CANADA.

by Beans inother than the kingdom songs i`m sure we must have squeezed in some time to listen to the radio between territories and on the way to the mettings.. my musical tastes vary from classical to heavy head banging music,basically i like everything!i love the cult,rush,van halen,boston,etc anything from the 80`s retro era.. but my favourite song would be everything counts by depech mode and she sells sanctuary by the cult!.

Self Esteem, what's that, when you are picked on, ridiculed, told your dumb, and not pretty, where is there room for self esteem, all childhood things I experienced, and I still remember it all even today. People think of your children and treat them right, build up their self esteem, because it can be real damaging.

My Father Died
by teenyuck ini just found out my father died today...he had a heart attack in the middle of the night.
he was 63, one month shy of his 64th birthday.
my 1/2 brother, age 19, who has been living with him trying to get off drugs, found him in his bed.

Puffs, so sorry for your loss, I know what you are going through, I lost a father, and step-dad. It's a real sad thing to go through, but want to let you know you are thought of. The best to you and your family.
