"If anyone wants to argue semantics, then lets talk about how the Spanish army stole the Mexican land from the Aztec nation."
(Firmly placing tongue in cheek) The Euros stealing land? No! Everyone knows the Euros are the most perfect group of humans on the planet. Only the Americans are guilty of land stealing.

Six of Nien, it is obvious that you don't understand the true issue at hand. It is not just about an illegal shooting a Sheriff's Deputy, and running back to Mexico for protection. It's an issue of Mexico not giving this "alledged" murderer back to us for trial. The Mexican Government has said that this is due to the perp's eliglibilty for the death penalty. However, when the L.A. County D.A. offered the possibility of life without possiblity of parole the Mexican Government renigged again.
There are other issues, also. Like Mexico's xenophobic gaurding of their southern border, as profiled on a recent PBS broadcast, entitled Chasing El Norte, documented.
Thirdly, in regards to extended rights given to illegal aliens, California State Senator Gil Cedillo, has authored a bill (SB 529) which will ensure that any alien that cannot produce proof of legal residency will not have their car impounded. Basically, what this means is that when an American citizan gets pulled over in the state of California, and can't produce insurance or a valid and legal driver's license their car is impounded.
Fourthly, as typical with people of your political ilk, you brought up the usual race comments. This issue has nothing to do with race. My own grandfather is a legal immigrant from Mexico. He believes that illegal immigrants hurt the teenagers that are trying to get into the work force.
Fifthly, with the City of Baldwin Park erecting monuments that make the historically inacurate claim that the southwestern U.S. was stolen from Mexico, and that it will be soon, and a Spanish television station advertising with a billboard that says, "Los Angeles, CA, Mexico" with the CA red slashed through, it is obvious to me and many Californians that it is the other side that has made this a racial issue.

Why do Euros and Brits complain about laws that have no effect on them?
Are you truly curious or just trying to elevate your own nationalistic levels?
Simon, that comment about Mickey Mouse Hollywood history made me laugh. What's next from you, a denial of the Holocaust? -

My ex and I had a big problem with an Attendant at Dodger Stadium. She was fresh off a c-section, and wanted to sit in the back few rows, which incidently are reserved for the "elderly and infirm." So we got our seats and began unloading the baby's bag and bookbags. I then left to grab b'fast for her and me. When I got back a gaggle of attendants had surrounded her and were asking her to move for the reason stated above. I moved in and asked the attendants if they wanted to see the proof that my wife, son and I could sit there? The lead attendant stated that I was having an attitude and that he would speak to the elders from my congregation. I told him to have at it.
Well, about 20 minutes later here comes the attendant and the PO of the cong. and he told the attendant that he was way out of line, and was not showing proper Christian love. He also said that it was obvious that he had no business being an attendant.
Little did that attendant know that the PO of the cong. was my father. -

JW Lawyers getting fed up with cleaning up after the GB?
by ithinkisee ini hope that those that are jw lawyers get tired of the governing body and quit bethel because of the bull shit theyv'e had to clean up after the gb.
it may be happening right now.
think about it the gb have issued the call for more lawyers to the congregations,, perhaps there is some disloyalty growing towards the gb being manifested in the legal department and the gb needs help desparately.

1. Building the Hall at my old congregation in Taos, NM. Lot's of fun. The first stuccoed, and solar-powered Quick-Build constructed.
3. Worst one was Tierras Cong. in Albuquerque. It rained all weekend, and I was on the roofing team. -

The book that did it for me was "Why You Should Believe in the Trinity" by Robert Bowman. This book gave historic Christian answers to the "Trinity" brochure that were too powerful to ignore. The other book was "Exposing Why You Should Believe in the Trinity" by Angel Arellano. This book should side-by-side photocopies of the Trinty brochure's quotations, and the actual quotations form the sources the WT cited. It was clear in my mind after reading this that the WTS was either guilty of extremely sloppy scholarship, or being totally dishonest in it's view of the Trinity. As far as Ron Rhodes book, I found it to be a great tool in working through doctrinal issues after a JW has come out of the mind control of the WT. I always teach people that they must deal with the issue of WT mind control and WT authority before one can be deprogramed of the WT dogma.

"most Jehovah's Witnesses have no respect for the Catholic Church, as well as other churches"
This is so true.
I have also found that many ex-JWs have no respect for all churches.
