What makes people really excel?
by formerout ini was just watching nightline (i think it was) with diane sawyer.
the stars from ocean's twelve were on there.
i am not a person who normally gives too much praise to celebs or athletes but these guys/gals (brad pitt, catherine zeta-jones, andy garcia, george clooney, matt damon and don cheadle) were pretty brilliant.

Candidlynuts: I don't believe what you say. I'm sure you have alot of talents. I know your very talented when it comes to making people laugh on the forum. You have to give yourself that. Come on girl, don't be so hard on yourself. There's plenty of other people who are always ready to cut us down(in general), so don't do it to yourself. Your wonderful!!!

That is really sick. It doesn't say if the witness reproved, DF'd him or what. If he gets reinstated that would be really disgusting. Oh but of course he feels remorse right! Give me a bleeping break. What a sicko. Those poor people that he murdered. What a horrible way to die! Not that there is a good way.

we just renounced our belief in the wtbts 2 hors ago,but still love jehovah
by ko38 inafter reading ray franzs 2 books and much information on this site we did a search comparing wt qoutes and had a local elder soon to be circuit ovsr at our house and the funny thing was he was unaware of much of the early wts.he also expressed some doubts when he applied to be a ministerial servant and they sent him back a letter making him an elder.his wife was here and when we brought coc out she jumped up like a person on fire.
the elder asked where else could we go?so there is doubt amoung the elders for sure.
i have a sense of loss however cannot support a self proclaimed prophet that is contrary to scriptural teaching and associated with falsehood and bloodguilt.

Welcome K038 and partner, Your journey has just begun. This forum is a good start. Meeting people like yourself who have left the JW org. Making friends who aren't JW's. I guess I feel similar to Aviashi. I am going to live my life to the fullest not being repressed by a Cult/Religion. I try to show love to my neighbour as expressed in the bible every day. Do my part for the World to make it a little bit of a better place to live for my kids and other people in general. I don't feel that knocking on doors and sitting at the Kingdom Hall for me at least was accomplishing that. The World has alot to offer us. It's not this horrible place that the Witnesses make it out to be. We have to make the best of it. Like you and your partner are doing now. All the best to you. What a big step. I look forward to learning more about you both. RHCP (hugs)

Sorry to whomever I offended
by Bubbamar ini made a post yesterday on the thread about the living water - jw-breakaway-cult and posted a quote from their website where they say that god wants to kill homosexuals because he really hates the sinner, not just the sin.
then i said something like, "so, see, god hates queers.
" my post was deleted because one of the mods received a couple of complaints.. i would like to formally apologize to whomever was offended.

One thing I would like to add for your own safety. When I talked to a councellor and the doctor. They warned me that it only gets worse. The situation escalates. Just something to think about. I got out and so can you.

Hi, I am going through a similar situation myself. My husband has been quite angry for a while as well. Due to depression and other things. I as well have tried to cover it up. We just recently seperated. I guess I feel in marriage that this is a last resort but everybody has different circumstances. Could you take some time away, by yourself. A few weeks or the weekend to gather your thoughts. Maybe write him a letter. It's hard if you are thinking of leaving the Organization and he is staying involved. Your life is always divided. He may not even agree to a marriage councellor due to his beliefs, I'm assuming. I know alot of JW's don't. It's a very hard road. I am finding out for myself. You can Pm me as well if you just need a listening ear. I don't really know what advice I can give as I am new to this myself. I do know a hostile, or volatile relationship or situation is not good for either of you. It is also very bad for your health. ((((hugs and thinking of you))) Chris
