My daughter was 8 lbs as well. That was a difficult labour. How is the MOMMY doing. I know Granny is tired but is Mommy ok as well? She must be exhausted. Daddy too I bet!

Letting myself get frustrated
by redskymedic inthe only jw i still have contact with is my mother, mainly due to the fact that she is close with my 12-yr old son.
she is single (divorced actually), cleans for a living, if that's what you can call it and has no other children.
while she doesn't shun me per se, she certainly isn't overly friendly and keeps most of our communication limited to grandkid info.

Redskymedic: Do you mind my asking what is wrong with your mother? Does she have a medical condition. Sorry, I haven't read many of your threads yet? I have been in a similar situation with my own son, though, so I totally can relate! Redhot!

Actually, sorry, my ring was very simple. I wanted the HOUSE. Which we got. We didn't have alot of wedding debt. I had a friend in the ORG. who had the big PRINCESS WEDDING and 20,000 in debt after. They are still living in a basement suite. I think it's been 3-4 years later. No thank you! Simple can be beautiful. Then you stand out even more! RIGHT! I mean the bride is the WEDDING!!!! YOU GO GIRL!!!! LMAO! That's all they have to remember! and the dancing! That's all they ever do, and the food! The bride was so beautiful, the food was so good, I had so much fun dancing! Right! That's all I ever remember. I take my little doyly home and I'm on my way! It's a fond memory! Make sure you get someone to video tape the Wedding. That is one piece of advice I will give you. Photos get messed up, easily. We had our wedding videotaped and it was the best thing we ever did. You are so nervous that it goes so fast and you forget alot, everything. You have to have a permagrin on all day. Enjoy the video after. It's so much fun to watch. Goodluck Princess.

Are we having an impact on the WTS?
by Maverick inthanks to pro-active people like simon i do believe we have an impact on the wts.
i think ex-witnesses are better adjusted and recover quicker because of these web sites.
i know i was able to deprogram and come to terms with being in that cult for 24 years much quicker than being divorced after 15 years.

Indeed! I think this forum/board is a great way of making friends for people who are leaving the WTS! It is a way of replacing so to speak the people that you have lost. Even if only for a short time, while you heal. You are able to vent your feelings, find information about the WTS from informed EX-Elders, ones who attended Bethel, pioneers, day to day brothers and sisters. These people tell you stories about themselves that you can relate to. In turn you think " Hey I'm not the only one that went through this", " Hey, I'm not alone", " Look, that person lives way accross the World and they are experiencing a similar or even worse case sinario then me". So buck up! I can do this! I can survive, because they have. Look, they are supporting me. Hey, these people actually seem to kind of like me. WOW, this feels really good. These are some of the feelings that I have felt. This is the impact that this forum has had on me as one individual. I am sure it has had a similar affect on others. I'm sure active Witness read the information on this forum and have had seeds of doubt planted due to Simon's efforts and all the peoples threads. Well done people, well done!
KEEP HAVING AN IMPACT ON THAT WTS SOCIETY, IT HAS WORKED ON ME! IT MUST BE WORKING ON SOMEBODY ELSE!!!!!
Have a great day, everybody! love REDHOTCHILIPEPPER!!!!!! ((((HUGS)))) -

If You Wanted Someone To Join JWD, How Would You Describe This Place?
by minimus inthis board is the biggest jw discussion board that i know of.
i'm sure timid witnesses look here on a daily basis but do not join for various reasons.
i know some might not really know what to expect if they did become a member.

It's very interesting! The topics go from LMAO to serious in a matter of seconds! Who could ask for more! I've never seen so many posts on poo, poo! That was getting down and dirty with it! Thats how I would describe this forum " We get down and dirty with the best of EM " !!!!!!! and clean sometimes too! Those are the boring topics, though!
