I have been gone - an update if you care

well a couple of months ago, when i went to the assembly, seeing my sisters all skinny, and then going to bed bath & beyond and stepping on a scale....triggered me.
i felt so crappy.

Wow, that's great! 30 pounds lost! You are to be commended. I love to hear that. It's nice to have you back. I haven't been posting as much myself. I look forward to talking with you sometime. I have recently lost 8 lbs. It's nowhere near as much or as great an achievement as yours but it sure does feel good. My goal is similar to yours. I have 15 pounds to go to be back to my prebaby weight. I'm very motivated as well. I have started going to the gym, mostly I just watch what I eat. It is the best feeling in the world to go to the gym and get that wonderful feeling from working out. You feel so much better after. All the best. Keep up the good work and the studies. RHCP

No one knows the DAY or the HOUR - have we misread this verse?
by truthseeker ini was just thinking the other day, about what jesus said concerning the end of the system of things.
he said that, "no one knows the day or the hour...but only the father.".
there are two units of measurement - day and hour.

Apparantly the JW's are dislexic or something because the scripture reads pretty clearly.They can read alot into scriptures that we can't, as we've seen before,so why are we suprised. I know this one has always made me shake my head. Why do they keep saying that Armageddon is just around the corner when it clearly states in this scripture that "No one knows the DAY or the HOUR".

It's actually sad how women in the JW org. are so "USED" but not used at the same time. We had so much of the responsibility but the men still get all the credit for it. Who wants to pass the mikes anyway. Do sheparding calls. No thankyou. The men can have their silly duties. I do and did object to the headship thing. It goes way too far. Men abuse it. In a good relationship you are submissive to each other and different times. I get your tea, you get my tea honey, thank you. Not "Woman, get me my tea". There is definately something wrong with that picture. I was a submissive wife, yes, and now I'm sicker than hell of all that submissive crap. Equality in a relationship! Yes being a JW woman Sucked!

Hillbilly: It's funny that you mention their copying techniques. I noticed that as well. Some of those songs I remember had notes so High my poor little voice was quivering. I can't sing so that made it even worse. Maybe that's why the brothers were staring at me, it wasn't that they thought I was cute at all. Oh my God. Wake up call. Now I'm really embarrassed.LOL

Are you a JW Hater?
by MelbaToast inreading a topic in here, i came across a conversation regarding jehovah approved(tm) sports.
i noticed that two of the posters were insensed at the amount of ex-jws in this forum.. they started ignoring everyone else that had put their opinion in on the subject....and decided that everyone in this forum was a jw "hater".
i myself take offence to that, for i don't hate the jw's.

I'm not a JW hater at all. I have lost a lot of good friends who were genuinely nice people. I have known alot of nice JW's as well. There are quite a few of them. I don't respect their beliefs and teachings. It's definatedly not the same thing as hate.
