UPDATE ON DANSK
by Physio init's been a long time since i posted here but i often read your messages when ian (dansk) logs on.
as most of you will know, ian will be going back into hospital on monday for an allogeneic stem cell transplant and will be away from the forum for a good few weeks (hopefully he'll be back home within 4-6 weeks).
last time he was in hospital many of you sent messages to his ward and i know they cheered him up immensely.

I rented the DVD and got 3/4 of the way through it, that was all I could stomach then I turned of the TV and returned the movie. I have only done that once before I can't remember right now what the name of that movie was but it was horrible too along the same stupid lines. Good grief talk about swimming in the sewer.
I can't remember the last time a movie gave me bad dreams but that one sure did......I still can't get the scene of the two naked men wrestling out of my mind, yuck!

Are You Sure That You Don't Still Think & Act Like A Jehovah's Witness?
by minimus indo you still have jw traits left remaining within you?
be honest.

Yeah I still shun people, but I'm okay with that I sorta think it's normal behavior when someone is being a creep or is not worth associating with.

New RBC arrangements/directives
by bud2114 ini joined awhile back and haven't posted much - just lurking like many others.
for the past year or so i have been trying my best to fade away sooner rather than later, but the wife and most of our family have decades of involvement in this mess and well, it's difficult.
little by little i have been sowing seeds of doubt and it does seem to be working somewhat.

Hello and welcome bud with numbers!
Anyway, I was wondering if what is happening with the RBC in our area is happening throughout the organization.
What is RBC? Boy have I been out a long time!?

Well put OFC!
I have gone years without ever seeing a JW in the door to door work and just recently I've seen them working our territory a lot, they've even knocked on our door.......someone visiting us answered the door and talked to them! EWELLLLLL!!!!! Now I hope we aren't on their list, but then maybe I'll have to be prepared for them, bwhahahahaaa!

I did all I was supposed to do
by John Doe inthe man drove along the highway, cautiously and slowly as the fresh sleet pranced on the roadway with the chill of a new winter.
driven, the man concentrated on getting to the office, another day and another piece in the construction of his success.
reports, proposals, and bids occupied his mind, not thinking of the cold city just outside his window.

Touching John.
No one did anything wrong.
It could also be said no one did anything right, too.

Our PO just confess to one of us: He doesn't believe anymore
by outofthebox inmaybe we are the crazy ones!
but, after a chat with the po of our congo, we felt a little better with the knowledge that we are not alone on the inside.
let us explain .... today we went to the ministry as every saturday :(.

Though the chat function was abused when installed, it did have the benefit of drawing to it day to day conversations that were about as interesting as a hairdressers convention in Small-Town Idaho and kept the more interesting threads current.
Good point H_S! Now where are my curlers?
Different parts of the world still use WTS™ terms that here in the US have not been used for years. It just might be that this group of posters outofthebox are from a different part of the world. Let's not be so skeptical and give them a chance to show us if they are genuine posters.
I must admit it is weird having a group post as one.....but hey maybe soon they will all feel comfortable to each have their own accounts and I am really interested to hear the member names they choose coming out of the box and all.

Mob Mentality
by snowbird indo i detect a spirit of intolerance on the beloved jwd board?
some posters can speak about anything and get a gaggle of positive responses.
others get beaten down for simply expressing a different viewpoint.

OMG FlipThis, so close that must have been horrifying to watch IRL! I couldn't imagine.
I'll never forget that day. I was off that Tuesday and sleeping in. I had the habit of turning on the TV in my bedroom and slowly wake up. Well that morning the Chanel was on the Today Show and I heard Katie Couric and Matt Lauer talking.....it sounded surreal and they were upset, not knowing what was going on either. I sat up, rubbed my eyes, then opened them just in time to see the second plane hit the second Tower. I thought it was a bad dream I was horrified and immediately started crying really loud too I think my neighbors heard me!
When I finally composed myself the phone was ringing I can't remember who it was that time as it rang all day, family, friends and workmates calling. I do remember I got on the Internet and went to two web sites, this one and my usual hang out a bike site. I sat there going through the two sites reading all the personal experiences of some of my friends who were right there at ground zero or were supposed to be there that day but for some reason didn't go to the Twin Towers.
Man I was in a daze for days and every year it comes flooding back to me the horror of it all. I cry every year I'll never forget how horrible that was to watch and I couldn't imagine seeing it IRL. My heart goes out to all those who lost friends, family and loved ones that day and those who are still suffering the effects of illness from recovery work at ground zero.
