  my JW boyfriend wants reinstatement. What do i do

  for the past 5 months i have been in a wonderful relationship.

  he and i had started out as friends a few years ago, but realized that we were attracted to each other while he was going through his divorce earlier this year.

  he and his now ex wife are both jws .

  had not noticed the ip addresses being the same, but i'm on my home computer and i don't share it with anyone else. I'm the only one here besides my five year old nephew. I don't know too much about this, but can an ip address be hacked? I've actually received a few e-mails over the past week or so responding to e-mails that i never even sent.

  Interesting how quiet worldly girl81 got after you were outed!

  Lived through Danny H incident / Trevorgate? Do you feel a bit changed?

  surely these two events/situations/happenings mean little, nothing even, to those in the real world.. but since we're witnesses( some participatory) to them, they've affected us.. alot "went down" in a relatively short period of time.. do you feel the effects have been mostly positive, an opportunity to grow perhaps?.

  or do you feel adversely affected?.

  what about any lasting effects( positive or negative) you think they may have on the way ex-jws interact as a community?.

  Man the fires are really bad in California! I just heard over 200 miles of California is burning from Ventura County down to the Mexican border!

  Does any one have secrets to cleaning the touchpad of a black glass topped stove.....It's driving me insane. The touch pad is in back, and no matter how much windex I use it always looks greasy and smeared. To make matters worse the kitchen window shines the sun on it all afternoon!

  First I would try Simple Green full strength and rinse with very hot water and towel dry. If that doesn't remove the greasy marks try a touch of Soft Scrub on a terry cloth which has been rinsed and rung out with very hot water, rinse again and towel dry! You might want to test an inconspicuous spot first with the Soft Scrub as it might scratch.

  I haven't taken the test yet but I can only guess what it would say......I just spent the better part of today cleaning my little house, on my hands and knees in the bathroom scrubbing every nook and cranny with a toothbrush and bleach. I also used a toothbrush and bleach in my kitchen. Hubby came in and commented on how nice the house looks and how clean it smells. LOL I'm a clean freak which is probably good as I have a cleaning business and my clients love me.

  feelings of guilt

  as some of you are aware i am in the early stages of doubting the wts as the only channel of truth.however i am assailed by feelings of guilt.am i being seduced by the words of disgruntled witnesses or ex-witnesses or am i truly doubting !

  !maybe some of you felt this way in the early stages of your "defection" from the wts.sometimes i feel as though i am rejecting god and his organization but other times i feel so strongly that the wts has misled me and is acting to control my "loyalty" by vieled threats of destruction at armageddon.you see prior to becoming a jw i had no religious affiliations.i knew nothing about the bible or god.so for 20 yrs i have only known watchtower teachings and un-learning 20yrs of this is making me so indesicive.am i doing the right thing or not ?

  my only solace is prayer.i have prayed to god to show me in some way what the truth really is.i must admit that these prayers have been the most heartfelt i have ever said.have others felt this way and if so how did they deal with it ?i would truly appreciate some feedback.

  c and l I know how you feel I felt simular when I was exiting and it's all part of the process of dissimulation from a cult.

  You see prior to becoming a JW I had no religious affiliations.I knew nothing about the Bible or God.So for 20 yrs I have only known Watchtower teachings and un-learning 20yrs of this is making me so indesicive.Am I doing the right thing or not ?

  Here are a couple of things that helped me.

  1. Read Crisis of Conscious.

  2. Learn all there is to know about the Bible and how it got it's humble beginnings, not from WTS lit!

  3. Question God and what you know about him/her.

  Guilt is an indicator that you are doing something wrong. I ask is it wrong to read and make educated decisions for oneself? I have no judgements against someone who challenges their intelligence, heck didn't God make us to be intelligent humans? What would God want his creation to do?

  Update on my life =(

  i posted on the board in the past about the first incident.. but we decided to work on it since she seemed genuinely remorseful... it is hard to beleive now that she abandoned all her morals, her religion, family and friends to persue this pipe dream..... it all started out like this.

  but i guess the little things like that meant nothing.

  For those offering advice. We have someone so distraught that they were actually so suicidal they were baker acted (that's what it's called here in FL I dunno what is called else where) please don't offer advice. The best sounding most sane seeming advice might be exactly the WRONG thing to say. Please leave this one to professionals. Offer support, hugs. love, all that but PLEASE stop with the "kick her ass to the curb" type therapy... If it's just someone bitching I'm right there with you for the most part but this is not the case here. How will you feel if one day you find out your funny comment or advice drove someone to finish it?

  I know you are very concerned as am I but I will tell you what not just one but several Psychiatrists told me regarding suicide and those mentally ill people who are suicidal; there is nothing you can do or say which will cause them to harm themselves and if they did it would not be your fault, no one is that powerful to out-will a mentally ill person who has already made a choice. What you can do is keep them safe from harm and call a professional to get them help. Always take suicide and the talk of it serious.

  Uggh.... It's so fresh though, and it still hurts very much that someone could throw out EVERYTHING in their life and move half-way across the country. You may say she is nuts... and I agree she is nuts.... but thats the nut I married and learned to love. =/

  Jason of course it hurts to be cheated on and let down by some one you love. It will hurt for a while but you will get over the hurt believe me. I guess what really scares me about this is that you want to be married to someone so fractured. Kiddo you really need to recognize the part of you that thinks this is all okay or you will repeat this again and again.

  If you choose to ignore your own sick self and not get professional help, please get a vasectomy so you don't ruin any children's lives by picking a crapy Mom for them. Seriously, children deserve better even if think you don't.
