So...I got duped today!

i am one of those people who always gives money to those who ask me on the street.

the reason is because there was a time when i was a kid that my siblings and i needed to beg on the street for food money because mom and dad were both addicts.. anyway, i was on my way into walmart and a lady stopped me and asked if i could give her a few dollars ($5 to be exact) so that she could pick up a prescription for some medicine.

she explained that she and her kids have been sick with bronchitis and although the kids were better she was not and had run out of money until her check came on the first of the month.. i can also sympethize with having to wait for government checks to buy what you need having grown up on state welfare programs and i reasoned that $5 is nothing for me and my husband because combined we bring in over six figures a year income.

I usually always give something to street persons who ask me. I figure it must take a lot to even ask for a handout, I'm not sure I could ever muster up the courage to do it.

I only give what I can afford to and even thought I know the money will not be used for say gasoline (as some have said they are out of gas) or food or whatever, I give and let them spend it..... I don't really care what they spend it on.

In times past I have given coats to street people, bags of food and dog food for their pups......why do they have animals?? I absolutely know their story is bogus and they will use the money for drugs or alcohol but I just can't resist people who are down on their luck allbeit brought on by their own bad choices who am I to judge? I just show compassion for them it must be a horrible existence some of them have, if my giving them a few dollars brings them any kind of comfort I'm good with that.

Cooking: How do you make shredded beef burritos? Help if you know

That recipe mrsjones5 posted sounds really good and close to how I make pulled beef burros the only difference is I combine all the ingredients with the beef into a crock-pot and cook it for hours until it's so tender it shreds just lifting it out of the pot. Yummy!

Sex dream dilemma

never have or would cheat on my wife.. problem is... .

even when i have a 'dream' about cheating i wake up before i can pull the trigger.. i'm even loyal in my dreams dammit!!!

My concern would be more getting to the age where I can't remember what sex is.....period.

LOL yeah I've heard alzheimer's described as this; it's not that you forgot where you put your car keys, it's that you've forgotten you have a car!

Sex should't be a dilemma especially in a dream!

I think it's pretty normal to do that. I worry more about getting to the age where I can't remember I had sex in a dream, sigh.

Legal or Religious decisions

I stated that for just about any limb there is a prosthetic. However for the spirit there is none. Once the brothers amputate his spirit he will have no desire to ever serve again. There is no helper or prosthetic to help him now. He will be forever jaded. The Society always seems to remove those who are best at what they do and replace them with incompetent company men.

This might well be the best thing to happen to this guy and his ticket out and to real freedom! I do understand how frustrating it must be for him but honestly all his joking around in a "racist" way was eventually going to come back and bite him some time. That's just my .02 on how ones actions eventually get ya.

I know of situation in my old Congregation where the PO was involved with a sister who worked for him. It got found out and she turned around and filed a sexual harassment suit against him and his company. The District Overseer was brought into the JC and he was told to pay her off to get her to drop the suit. He did, she did, and that was that........That was also my beginnings of seeing the other side of the brotherhood. They proved to be just as corrupt as any other religious organization.
