  Why single out something 5thGeneration posted somewhere else, with no reference to it and then want a Discussion on it?

  I've got to say I agree with purps on this. Where is the damning evidence and who are we to judge what a parent can do to their kid.

  Last time I looked we are not living in a dictatorship and what parents do in the way of correcting their children in their own homes should be none of our concern unless it's outright abuse and we have knowledge of it. I am the first one to say protect the children but I don't think spanking your child is a big deal. I got spanked plenty and I don't hate my parents for it. Most of what is wrong with kids today is parents who think they must be their kids buddies instead of actually parenting them and making them behave.

  i've finished writing my novel (50 thousand words) about my years spent in federal correctional prison when i was an obedient little jw.. the editing and rewriting stage now commences.. i need your help!.

  here is how you can help me.. i can't know what an outside mind wants to find out concerning this experience.

  i can only conjure up what seems interesting to me.. tell me what you want to know about such a personal experience.. that will give me a checklist to compare to what i've written already.. i may have missed many little details which are very important to a reader.. i may have neglected essential questions which must be answered in order to satisfy the mind.. please offer me your curiousity.. thanking you in advance; i appreciate your taking the time to advance my novel to the finish line.. (i wrote it as a fictional work because i could not honestly write about myself without the distance of this device.. so, i made myself into a character with a different name.. the identity of everyone else is non-fiction.

  I wish my brother would have gone to prision instead he enlisted. He came back from Nam in a casket. Not to be a downer Terry I look forward to reading your book as I'm sure it's a good one.

  I've been missing my brother it was his birthday last month and am a bit melancholy.

  it was great talking with you tonight!.

  first and foremost, it's very gratifying to know that your hubby is on the heal from his recently diagnosed cancer.

  i could hear him in the background, and he certainly sounded like he was in good spirits (even if he is a bit of a raspy old fellow lol).

  to begin with, i'm moving out of my apartment because my roommate is messy and irresponsible.

  2 months ago, i asked him if he was able to find another roommate, and we were able to get to one shortly.

  like i told him he has been living here basically half the month to see his girlfriend.

  Between then and now, I have made the necessary arrangements, and I will be moving out within a week. However, I will be staying 5 days into this month. The person replacing me wants me to pay my 5 days of rent and his application fees and administrative fees. First, I told him okay but he has to pay half of the fees.

  Pay the 5 days rent that is only right. He should pay the application and administrative fees himself after all the application is going to be in his name, your name is going off the rent app.

  i'm generous with my friends, but as far as being a good tipper, well......not really.

  Yes as long as I get good service I tip at least 20% or more. I used to waitress and it's hard work and low pay usually minimum wage so you really need those tips!

  Yeppers JH we only count as one, but I think there are probably few of us couples who use the same router. Even those spammers who have multiple accounts and use the same machine/router only count as one, but then that's fair they are only one!

  Awe grasshopper therein lies the problem. We love not because we get something, we love because we give something. Love is not a selfish act it's an unselfish act one of chance. There is more happiness in giving then receiving.
