  for those of you that dont know me, i am a single dad with 3 boys for 5 years now, my x signed her rights away long ago.. .

  no support ever, no insurance, even before she signed her rights away, many long stories of her abuse that caused her to lose custody to me years ago, she has never dealt with her abuse over even acknowledged it, i put my kids thru years of counseling, and they do not wish to see her, she has been calling alot lately, i dont hear from her for maybe 4 months at a time, she is crying , wanting to try to see them.. i must tell you she has , mentally , physically, and mentally sexually abused them, and then charged me with sexual abuse, with which it took me a year in evaluations, and family studies , and 35,000 in lawyer fees to disprove, and the judge saw her lies and removed them from her for abuse.

  i also believe she has many emotional problems , both real and imagined.

  I can't help but wonder why you are even second guessing yourself with this? I do understand that sometimes we forget what evil looks like when we are so far removed from being that way. All I can say is man when you get to feeling like maybe she deserves to see the kids think back to the worse day they were in her care.......

  As some have mentioned asking the kids what they would like, please don't! Kids all want a mommy and long for that and maybe even remember her at her best, but it would be a cruel thing to give them hope because she lost her mommy card the first time she ever abused them. Remember that.

  Now go have a nice holiday and quit answering the phone when she calls, you owe her nothing! You do have the responsibility and privelege to make a nice life to your children.

  A rude reminder...buying a car

  we have been considering a new auto.

  we have one with 125,000 mi and one with 145,000. they are both doing fine but i must admit i have been tempted by the deep discounts and rebates on new models.

  so i take my car to the dealer.

  Anyway, my '01 Acura TL is still like new and I am going to put some money into maintenance items and keep it.

  My suggestion is to keep up the maintenance on this car as it's not even at half it's life! If you are serious about someday replacing it start banking the money you would be making on a car payment now and by the time ( a few years from now) you need to replace your Acura you'll have an advantage over the sales person if you can put down a hefty cash amount or better yet pay cash for your next car!

  it was pretty messed up.

  i appealed and two of the three elders on my appeal commity were from our sister congregation.

  when i turned in my appeal letter, the elder i turned it in to tried to talk me out of appealing.

  Xmas cookies

  there is a young girl at work who is a non bapatized jw.

  who does not celebrate christmas or did she attend xmas party given at work.

  there morning before the xmas party some on brought in a pile of with out a dought where xmas cookies,you know the kind with red and green xmas tree on etc.and she ate a pile of the.

  and she ate a pile of the. I proceeded to tell her by eating then she was celebrating Xmas. Was I right or wrong. She also has a JW friend who eats candy canes. Is she also celabration Xmas. Was I right or wrong.

  IMHO she was just eating cookies and the other JW is just eating candy. The celebration of the Holiday is when you celebrate the fesitivities along with the eating and merry making and exchanging of gifts.

  Many times when I was a JW I ate birthday cake (leftovers) but I did not celebrate the person's birthday. Who cares if a cake or cookie or a blob of sugary stuff is decorated or shaped into a "cane"?

  I know, I know there are hardliner JW's who wouldn't be caught dead doing such a detestable thing, I just wasn't one of them! I don't think there is a right or wrong here the people mentioned obviously were not celebrating the holiday.

  i havnt received mine yet, im just wondering how many others havnt either???

  just incase mine has been registered so it can be tracked.

  we have already had one bad experience this week, had to send on hubby's xbox console as it overheated and died, the post have "misplaced" it, im so glad we have it insured.. es.

  at a circuit assembly the co stopped his talk and asked the attendants to remove a crying baby and his mother .. she go up walked out the back started crying as she was studying she never came back.. saved by the co i say..

  The worst thing I've ever heard from the stage was way back in the 1950's and it kept being repeated from the stage and in books and magazines all of which I bought into hook line and sinker!

  a 1st grade school teacher had twenty-six students in her class.

  she presented each child in her classroom the 1st half of a well-known proverb and asked them to come up with the remainder of the proverb.
