I hope you're right. I know it's definitely made my circle of friends and coworkers realize that petty personal difference, and bickering is ridiculous. That more than ever, we need to take the time to appreciate what blessings we have. Mainly, each other and others in need.

as many of you may know of the recent trial of erica rodriguez where manuel beliz was convicted of child molestation.
a new development has happened that in my opinion is absolutely outrageous.. the prosecuting attorney gary brueher has told erica today she is not welcome at the sentencing hearing.

i was this weeks guest on the norwegian radio today, in the broadcast for our county.
naturally they wanted to speak to me about many things, other than the jw related stuff, since im also running a small business magazine, and besides that im in fact a private person with my own interests.
Woohoo! Way to go Kent! Like so many here I am so grateful for the research you do to help us all out. The information is so necessary to expose the lies the WTS creates. (And does so much to reinforce our right decision to leave!) Thank you!

i had previously asked a question about demons and after visiting the sites and reading the posts suggested by larc, i am disturbed.

I guess I just see her and her family and am jelous and for the first time I feel apart of that, even if it is soley on the surface.
I can totally relate to that. My family was never close to begin with, so the friendships of the KH were very appealing to me. The majority of my "brothers and sisters" in the Hall were kind, loving, and a lot of fun. Until I got disfellowshipped. Everybody ignored me. Wouldn't talk to me. Wouldn't even come into the restaurant I worked in for fear I may be their waitress. It hurt so badly. Why? Because I realized that they were fair-weather friends. I loved them wholeheartedly and got nothing in return. Basically, when the going got tough for me - they all LEFT. And not just that, but they were flat out MEAN. I really screws with your head.
Just be careful dear. Things in your life are good right now. Of course they're nice to you. Just wait till you need some REAL help or tell them you don't fully believe their teachings. They will treat you totally different. You're a smart girl - only you can decide what's best for you!

jw's teach that one should love jehovah more than anyone else in existence, your parents, your partner, your children.. did you really, really love jehovah that much when you were a witness?
or was there a part of you that put this question to one side because, deep down, you knew that no-one was going to get the lions share of your love other than your close family?.
also, was there a little niggle that it was unreasonable for jehovah to ask this much of you?

My belief is that God's purpose for creating families was for us to love one another and take care of one another. So I feel that is actually a form of worship, to love other people. Personally, I think showing/practicing unconditional love is the ultimate worship. I feel I am carrying out His purpose by being unconditionally loving to humans. Whether JW's, Muslims, atheists, agnostics, Baptist, or any other religion. Religion is not the point. Love and spirituality are.

i was sat watching tv tonight, her ladyship was dozing after a hard day, george the cat was purring and number 3 son had fallen asleep.. number 2 son was talking on the phone to his girlfriend, number 1 was out selling finance to prospective home-buyers.. know what?
these sons of mine know that i am always on their side, no matter what they do.
i can't think of anything that they could do to stop me loving them.

You are the type of father that so many of us ex-JW's dream of. My father will NEVER understand the concept of unconditional love. So sad. For me, my brothers and my mother.
Sometimes I think I NEVER want children. Don't want to bring them into a world of such confusion, hate, and into my family history. But then other times I think I'd be a great Mother, because I'll know what NOT to do. Only time will tell.
