I was never in the "in" crowd. Neither was my family. My dad was inactive for years and it was just my step-mom taking us kids to the Hall. Because of that, she was looked at like most "single mothers" are looked at - with pity, but no compassion. Looking back, I guess I'm glad I wasn't in that crowd. It would only have made it harder to decide to leave.

i just got a call from the social security office.

now......these people sent me a letter of denial of ssi even before their doctors examined me a coupla weeks ago, so i couldn't imagine why they would be calling me.

at first i thought she was telling me that they'd mistakenly sent out the denial letter to me, but that wasn't it.

today, i took teryn to a birthday at a jumper 'fun' zone.

there were several jumpers, inflated slides, a jumper obstacle course, etc.

well, i got into the action and got into one of the jumpers and decided to do a flip.

But you know that your hair will re-grow ? and probably more beautiful then it was before......

A friend of mine, here in Dallas, had breast cancer and lost her hair during chemo. She said her hair came back softer and finer and curlier. She liked it much better.

in the field service, i was going door to door with an elder, and he couldn't stop spitting on the ground every now and then..... .

once at a ball park, i saw a 75 year old ms watching a ball game, and he took napkins to wipe his bench because it rained and it was wet, so he wipped his bench and threw all the napkins on the grass instead of walking to the garbage can about 30 feet away...

I think every congregation had a brother or sister that was just incredibly aggressive out in the field. I remember Sister Lau in Hawaii. Tiny, grouchy old Chinese lady that would stick her foot in the door the moment the householder would answer. If they didn't take the rags, she'd say, "You don't read these and you die in Armageddon! You don't want die do you?"

I couldn't get over how people would just laugh and then praise her for being so zealous in Jehovah's name. Personally, I was horrified and couldn't understand why they felt she was doing good. I thought she was causing more damage to the already tarnished JW reputation.

i am moving soon to pennsylvania and no one will know i live there.

i've always had a great desire to play some tricks on the poor jabba's witnesses stuck out in street work and liven up thier drab routine.

here are some thoughts, what would your reaction be.. .

Going to the door stark naked seems appealing to me somehow. They always seem to have the answers to any situation and I'd love to just see them completely shut up out of shock. That and just being naked at the front door isn't doing them any harm.

I wish I had the courage to actually follow through with it.

an elderly man in florida had owned a large farm for several years.

he had a large pond in the back, fixed up nice; picnic tables, horseshoe courts, and some apple and peach trees.

the pond was properly shaped and fixed up for swimming when it was built.
