  Christmas Star = Satan?!

  i was talking with my husband the other day about the jw's belief that the "christmas star" that guided the magi to christ was the doings of satan.

  he didn't believe me; this is what i found in the "my book of bible stories" (copied verbatim from cd-rom).

  who do you think made that new star to shine?

  Sweetie, you should know by now that the WTS DOESN'T NEED scriptural backing to believe what it believes! The history of this organization shows that it makes statements like this on a regular basis without scriptural backing. The GB decides when a scripture is needed, not needed, taken out of context, twisted, taken literally, taken figuratively, etc. For example, if they take the 144,000 to be a literal number, shouldn't they take the "toilet" issue (see JanH's thread...) to be literal as well? The GB is all-knowing and divinely inspired...they don't need proof. Haha!

  Apostates at assemblies...

  anyone here got any stories about apostates going on the rampage at any meetings, assemblies, conventions.. i haven't seen any but a young witness told me that his previous cong.

  called the police to a meeting cos a df person went apesh*t once.. also, all aussie jw's should know about the riot at a glenelg convention in adelaide in the 1940's where apostates rushed to the sound equipment and some jw stood in there way and kinghit one of them.

  LOL! You're boldness cracks me up! I love it! I wish I had the brains and the guts to make more of a scene when I was DFed. The more bad publicity the WTS gets, the more people will notice what a fraud it is. My heart aches for those still trapped in the Tower and don't even know it.

  it's about time to put an end to the unbiblical and perverted practice of making water closets and other forms of toilets.

  this ungodly practice is clearly prohibited in god's word the bible:.

  deuteronomy 23: 12-14 "designate a place outside the camp where you can go to relieve yourself.

  i like to wonder, and be able to think independent of any subject or topic thats provoke me.

  even if these subjects are "weird" or not.. it look like sometimes ,there is topics that seems to already been explained seriously as hoaxes.

  so dont even bother to try to explain it otherwise,or if u want to maintain serious.. well here is a challenge for you.. try to explain these images.. since 1980 these crop circles has appeared ,and increased every year.. what do u think of this circle that appeared today.

  My heart cries out to all of those children as well Harm! I can at least feel like I have semi-recovered from it, but to those kids still in the grips of an abuser??? I can only pray for them!!!

  I am a fairly new Christian and do believe in hell. I think there is a special place in Hell for anyone who abuses a child in anyway (my Dad) or doesn't stop to help a child who is being abused (my Mom). They will have to answer for their actions and they WILL be punished for it. I hate to say that I look forward to that day, but a sick part of me does want to see them punished and held accountable.
