  I'm quoting Essie, just so you don't get confused...

  Of course I care about other molestation victims. Sadly, the majority of my friends survivors of it. But the fight for children everywhere has to begin somewhere. So we all do what we can, in whatever arena.

  This was the point I was trying to make. We address JW molestations first because THAT is our common ground on this board. Molestation is not our common ground.

  Huh? Where/when/how am I booting you out the door? Did I say you shouldn't be here? No. I said if you want to address other religious molesters, go to those boards to address them. This board is about JW's.

  Being a victim myself, it disturbs me to see what seems to be delight on the part of some that there are JW child molesters.

  I too am a victim of molestation/child rape by a NON JW. But I don't delight in the fact that there are JW molesters. Where are you getting THAT?

  JWs aren't any more likely to be molesters than any other part of the population.

  ....protecting children from molesters does not begin and end with JWs...

  ...which I agree with. But this thread is about JW molesters. We are not going to necessarily address Catholics, Muslims, Baptists, etc here as much because it IS a JW board - not Catholic, Muslim, or Baptist. Hello?

  It seems, Andi, you have made a judgment of me with little information. I have a reason and a right to be here just like you. If you don't like what I write...don't read it...that's what seems to be the direction about offensive comments here.

  Again, hello? Where in my post did I judge you? My post is very non-emotional and states facts. Please quote me if I'm being judgemental. I've done nothing of the sort. I agree you have a right as I do. I've found nothing offensive. I don't think I've said anything offensive.

  I'm not offended. Never was. Never stated in my post that I was. Again you are reading inbetween lines that aren't there. Work with the words I post dear, not words in your imagination.

  Not to minimize victims of NON-JW child molesters...

  This is not a child molestation discussion board. This is a JW discussion board. If you have a goal of getting rid of all child molesters, then go to a more appropriate board to address that issue. We are members of this board because we are/used to be part of the JW world. JW child molestation just happens to be part of our discussion.

  Need Advice for Female Now!

  can a 19 yr old male christian go out with a 19 yr old female jehovah's witness?

  if not, are their any ways around it?

  i me and this female really like each other but cant be seen together due to her religion.

  You may not realize it now, but if you stay with her, you'll get a broken heart - she will eventually pick her religion over you. And if she picks you over the JW's - she'll be guilt-ridden and blame you for separating her from her religion/family/friends.

  One day you'll remember this thread and do one of two things:

  1. Wish you'd taken our advice.
  2. Glad you took our advice.

  I hope it's number 2! Good luck! You will need it!

  when i was a teenager, there was a young lady early 20's who had moved into our cong.

  she had a newborn son and had just married her worldly boyfriend, the father of the baby.

  Another one...

  My father has been inactive for years. Struggles with rage and manic-depression, has always been abusive (physically/emotionally) to my step-mom, my brothers and me. Last October, he left my step-mom. She got an email from him stating he was leaving and that night all of his things were gone. She's been a housewife for several years and has not been in the workforce at all. Brothers just graduated high school and were living at home as regular pioneers. Needless to say, mom was devastated. She called me crying her poor heart out and felt like she didn't want to go on. I did all I could to comfort and console and give "independence" advice, but of course she went to the elders for advice as well. Their response? Go out in service more, pray more, study harder, be supportive to a husband that just left you with you two kids, a mortgage and no income. Uh - yeah. That's gonna help pay the bills and repair a broken marriage.

  I was so thankful I didn't live in the same state. I really was mad enough to strangle them!

  PS: Since then mom has gotten a full-time job she likes and pays well AND has taken back Dad with open arms. If the abuse continues, she refuses to tell me.

  I was 19 and on public reproof for getting drunk and having my first sexual experience with a worldly boyfriend. I did everything I could to get off the hit list and be a good JW girl. Broke of associations from my worldly friends, made all the meetings, studied my Watchtower, field service, etc. Slowly I wound up getting back into my worldly co-workers circle and drinking again. After a few weeks of this, I went back to the elders and told them that I thought I had a drinking problem and needed some help pulling away from the bad associations in my life. I just didn't know how to do it. They disfellowshipped me.

  I know these words have been repeated often in this thread - I just hope mine don't get lost in the midst of it. PLEASE know that there are those of us that appreciate with fullness of heart, the hard work you go through to take care of the innocent voiceless ones. If I were still in, I'd be forever in your debt and Barbara's debt. Please don't let the losers on this board chase you away. Your wisdom, knowledge, courage and humor are things we would all do well to imitate. You are a gentleman in my book! You do deserve more than what this board could ever offer you. I understand if you leave, but please know that you would be dearly missed!

  the ultrasound results are in: foxy and i are going to be having a baby girl, sometime around the end of january!
