Knowledge Seeker, you sound so kind when I read your post. Even before I got to the end, I had a tender spot for you. I am so proud of you for pursuing your education. Keep on. You are at the perfect age. There are so many posters from the UK. Surely you live near some, and when they have a party, you will be able to go, and meet up with them.
At the parties, no, they don't bash Witnesses, 100%. Just a litte ribbing. I really want you to meet someone, from the UK. You and her, sound like you would really hit it off.

Ahhhhhh now your PM to me makes sense Knowledgeseeker! I did wonder! Horriblelife and I met in Dallas in May at an Apostafest and hopefully will be meeting again at the end of this year.

Well i finally did it.........i got my nose pierced, and it felt soooo good

At what age do you consider a person "Old" ?

So in response to Terry

1.Young(er) women call me "sir". That hurts. - I don't think I ever called a man sir before certainly not you - Uncle maybe - but only to be saucy!

2.I can't look at women with desire without feeling like I should be arrested. (So, I don't) - This is the only thing that shows your age - why on earth should anyone feel guilty for obeying evolution!!!

3.I hate it when people say, "Oh, you don't look it!". Don't ask me why. It just feels like I'm cheating or they're lying. - You really don't like it - just be thankful - much better than everyone thinking you are older!

4.I don't enjoy the things that use to really captivate me. Things like music and movies and collecting or creating. Nothing much starts my engine with enthusiasm. - I think this lies not in your ability to be captured, but that you probably need to be sharing it with someone who has the effect in point number 2.

5.I feel like spending alot more time with my kids than by myself. In fact, all those self-centered years seem like a terrible waste now. - Nothing at all wrong with this. Its sweet.

6.I cry easily at maudlin things: movies, tv commercials, a snippet of a song, etc. What rot! - Again there is nothing wrong with you finding and indulging your sensitive side.

7.I don't answer back when somebody says something foolish or provocative in my presence like I once did. That is, not unless they are "asking for it". - Thank goodness for that, for my own sake - I am unerring fool at times and feel somewhat in awe of your wealth of knowledge.

8. I am patient now. Never was before. - Again ...Hurray - when do you think it will start evidencing itself on here then? Just so I can diarise!

9.I must confess I am absolutely turned off 100% by people my age and a little younger who are rabidly into meditation, chakras, Yoga, jogging, the gym, health foods, senior activities. I know this sounds ridiculous. But, I am annoyed no end by it. What a cliche'. I refuse to end up being a cliche'. - We're all permitted preferences I guess.

10. I have absolutely no fear of death. Couldn't care less. This might change, but; so far, I don't think so. - I don't fear death either so maybe I have already put on the "senior" personality early!

I consider, in view of the above, the age at which people start looking in the mirror self-critically to be the moment they have aged to a dangerous level. Yes, that can be at any age!! (Maybe that's a guy thing - I don't know any girls who didn't get critical the moment they hit puberty and carried on.)

Just my thoughts on yours, sir

I used to think 30 was incredibly old but then didnt we all. I am starting to wonder if we ever do feel old truly - or is it just in comparison to other people. When you stop comparing yourself to everyone else then I think you are just you - unique, spicey, mature, and with more to learn than you ever can in one lifetime.

I compare myself to the age of the universe instead of Paris Hilton lookalikes in my local nightclubs and I feel positively child like!
